Very nice mibs De Roberto, I agree w/ you 100 %, I think a lot of the newer generation is into much more the contemporary mibs, not that they aren't great I do have a few but they probably feel the same as me about them ask themselves why I don't have a large selection of contemporary's. Times change as they do, when you go to the antique store now it's mostly "vintage" instead of antiques. When I started there was no "vintage" dep't. I think the antique marbles are absolutely beautiful, the first ones I started collecting seriously. I use to have a couple thousand of them in my first collection, lost through the course of a divorce in 09.

Can't find anything on the fireproofing yet even tried googling it. Give me little time I'll get it. I was a Machinist Mate in the Navy and a trained fireman, that knowledge not much help in this situation, " maybe " Chad G.

I was going to say M.K. on the one w/ the straight seam also but so hard to tell on these gamers, are they old ? new ? I would prefer to look through the older one's, I believe these to be newer just going on the fact I'm having difficulty in I.D. ing them. Went through thousand's of them and generally can tell, not so w/ these.

Here's the correct insulator made by Alley @ the Pennsboro location between 1934-1937, made on the so dubbed corn cobb machine info courtesy of Ron S. , I believe I have the correct one this time, makes for an excellent display. I put two 31/32nds Alley mibs in it, a good stand, wish I would have bought them all, went back to get the rest, notta, Oh well @ least I have this one.

Some boxes I converted into marble cases using dimple foam, my favorite is the backgammon case w/ a spot for my loupe a cleaning cloth and some spare mib bags. The others are old airtight humidor boxes with locking capabilities, I could drop this box out of my car doing 55 and not harm the mibs inside, a good box if your a fumble fingers like me, I took a couple pics. ( one more ) a very old skeleton key lock box, just added dimple foam, for a little larger mibs. Locking mechanism a must have in my case, can't afford to drop me treasure

Nearly all companies made gaming marbles @ one time or another, from what I gather Bruce also pics of 2 different mibs ?? here's a gamer I held onto from Alley's early beginnings. I call an Alley monochrome ( Def. two different shades of the same color ) I would like to make a guess on yours but need pics of both seems on either side of one mib to get a good idea, many I've found I couldn't I.D. no traits distinctive of the maker, master gaming marbles are probably the easiest for me to pick out, Yes I've gone through thousand's of them also, very enjoyable but extremely hard on the back. Found some goodies though !!

Great German's De Roberto, I was beginning to think I was the only one that still collected them. Excellent marbles every one , appreciate the pics, I started collecting German hand mades in the 90's the prices then where considerably more but I was and still am fascinated by them. "Good post" The clown is outstanding, not an easy one to find in any shape.
