  1. I seen this book when it came out, tried to order fast as I could through Amazon, missed it by one day for $18.99, I just looked they got 1 left you want it ?? Wait beins it's out of print the price may have gone up a tad. This is a real book I called the publisher and ( NOT ) missed it by$$$$$$$$ much
  2. Did you solve the link dilemma or?? I was waiting on the bag pics, thought perhaps stuck in one of the broken link's that's why I came back. Thanks for leaving notice cheese. ( message me when you find the link solution in case it ever happens to me ) Thanks again. Regards, Chad G.
  3. What's your choice ?? @ 27/32 nds " this is gonna be an easy guess. I should have gave the measurement afterwards, and turned the lights out. Last pic is a side by side w/ a 23/32 nds single seam C.A.C. .
  4. The space situation gave rise to the incorporation of the Akro ware into my mib collection. Saved me a bunch of room and those tiny cups, glasses, plates and tiny flower pots all as marble stands made it look a whole lot better. I even have part of it color coordinated w/ the mibs. Everything marble related, clear down to the marble stands and display itself. Glad you enjoyed the store Steph, wait till they restock, it'll blow you away and empty your savings @ the same time.
  5. I Thank you all for the labor of love, and bear fruit it did, I like the way Heaton applies their horse hair ox, gives their marbles more depth along w/ the shaded swirls of glass diving in and out of their mibs "classic Heaton ". And plenty of windows to view the inside of most. 1 st mib 6 th post green w/ what looks to be a kind of chocolaty horse hair ox, not the regular Heaton anemic ox., a new one on me as are several others. also last post next to last mib, look's like a metalic covered w/ the sheen of a contemp. oily, outstanding, they're all great mibs, much more busy than the average Heaton I'm used to seeing. A good many metalics also I have a few w/ a lot less metal, great job, Thanks for getting the pics posted on top of the link problem cheese, appreciate it Chad G.
  6. People might argue the point on 10:00, wish I had it in hand, if it does as you said go from pole to pole, that's 1 qualifier but the s pattern, a corkscrew continues in the same direction or meanders it's way to the opposite pole in the same general direction, still making a rotation. That's what the definition of the name means, look @ a wine bottle corkscrew that being the intended pattern. I have some that barely make corkscrews but they are not patches, sounds like you have a borderline marble, if I liked it I would keep it regardless and call it whatever it's closest to being. These where toy's, "production oriented" not art, sure they had quality control, that's where all the piles of rejected marbles came from behind every prod. site, people dig them looking for a one off or perhaps a rare example in less than perfect shape, sometimes a perfectly good one made it out the door to the pile or hole!! I'm going to post pictures of a 3/4" blue chocolate oxblood ace and an anemic blue ox ace both are corkscrews but the oxblood meanders all over on its way around both marbles, both going from pole to pole and making a full rotation, I don't believe the full rotation to be a qualifier myself, it is not part of the stated definition, as long as the spirals of color do not intersect on the way from pole to pole. Obviously a straight stream of color from pole to pole doesn't make a corkscrew, it makes a patch I have patches where the color goes from pole to pole. patch pics. The yellow base w/ a red patch ( note the red patch goes from pole to pole in a straight line, not a cork. ( note: these patches are not all Akro, my camera is still playing games ) Thank you, Chad G.
  7. Hello Stephen ?? seen the flower garden video, keep it real, nice job !! what's next ?
  8. No oxblood , special is a collectors term or (NAME) for marbles w/ 3 or more opaque colors, inc. Popeyes etc..." 6:00 is definitely a corkscrew" 10:00 may be a patch, I can't be sure because of the views of the marble in the pictures. The color stream on a cork will make a full rotation from pole to pole., patches only have a patch or ribbon of color usually from side to the other and don't "rotate" from pole to pole like a cork. From the marble collectors society of America website (1995-2019, Robert S. Block) I called Robert @ 12:05 P.S. time today for permission to copy and post this & asked about specials, Quote : a special cork has 3 or more opaque colors, inc. Popeyes as defined below.
  9. A friend that never talk's bad of you or lies, a friend till the end. Every body needs @ least one, agreed Stephen??
  10. I logged out of face book permanently A while back after I seen the information scandal Zuckerberg was messed up in. My p.c. got Ransome ware called deep blue I believe. No money on the card @ the time, but it took months for me to get all the hidden bugs they left out. Thank you anyway Steph, I really am enticed by the site. @ some point I may resub scribe. AS of now I have no immediate plans to do so. Another hanger, sorry Steph I posted this 40 mins. ago and didn't hit submit, that's twice today, I better take a look around slowly.
  11. No Alley or MFC visible ( in my opinion ) I think the first is Heaton second ying yang no idea, yellow and white( maybe ) a WV Drat I made a post 2 hour's ago and didn't submit, I wonder how many like this one I have "hanging" around ??
  12. Crazy cool color's, I wouldn't kick it out.
  13. I hope you enjoyed that store ?? it used to take me a couple hours just to look @ their inventory. " " ( used to )
  14. The Ebay address was the best I had ever seen bar none. Thousands of items just before covid, since covid I believe alot of their inventory wasn't sold but is being stored by them, an E mail would probably produce whatever you want. The prices are a little high but their stock is superior, W/ a full guarantee on top of E bay's protection. Most reputable Akro address I've been able to find. I also have some bigger stuff as seen in the pic, but fell hard for the miniature ware. Even after getting rid of a bunch I still have what you see .No mare sales, maybe a couple full set's of lemon ox or paneled and then quits for a while. Those small thumb pots are getting extremely HTF as noted by the price, they are made just like a larger one w/ a knockout in the bottom for water drainage, the little kids knocked nearly every one of them out. I took some more pics of that one under a 4' uv. tube. The clearies are minute 3/8" or a little smaller, some a bit bigger w/ none over 1/2". just waiting on Craig to come over and resize and down load a bunch more pics. Heard that before right ( no popcorn this time ) Yes I to have resorted to filling my walls up w/ (stuff ) I posted that thread on display's and seen a couple ones I really liked. Time to get to work, I'm getting ready to sort a gallon of mibs as we speak. Regards, Chad G.
  15. I posted it on the other site also Ron, General consensus there is also Akro, I see Akro w/ some Master like trait's, this one had me thinkin for a long time, "Thanks for droppin in" always appreciated.
  16. The little white miniature flower pot on the left is uv. & Made by Akro ( go to Akro arsenal on Ebay , here's the link some cool stuff https://www.ebay.com/str/akroagatearsenal About the size of your thumb (i.e. thumb pot) I have a bunch of Akro children's china, uv. , oxblood etc.. I have posted on the " marble related " thread I started Steph. I have some of those Alley insulators they made I also use for marble stands, alot of the china I turned upside down and use for marble display, 99 % of the china I have is Akro, has the crow emblem and U.S.A. stamped on the bottom like the ashtray's they made All the little coffee cup's and stands in my displays are Akro, I have some imperial end of days stuff to. The black pot is from the Akro arsenal Ebay site. Used to be over 2500 item's there, covid put a little damper on it.
  17. I wanna know what it says to. I took Spanish in 8th grade, but evidently I didn't do well, I can't remember. Wish there was a translator like Ebay. Always somethin new!! " Thanks Steph" I'll have to buy one of them pocket translation book's, maybe !!
  18. Yes, I think it's an "A" I'm lookin to. What should I enter on ebay search, tried sandwich glass all transparent depression lookin stuff ?? found exact match ( MURANO ITALY) that's what it say's on the bottom, same as ashtray pictured.
  19. Ash tray see the tabs, (3rd pic), normally one of my pee-wee container's, this glass has a name too, I can't think of it right now.
  20. That's Ok Bruce, I understand how thing's happened now. Thanks for all the effort it is much appreciated. I live in wash. state pouring down rain is the norm, I kind of like it.
  21. Those mibs are takin longer to get here than my down loads. I'm breakin out in some kinda Pelt related rash 😓
  22. Thanks for takin the time Bruce, I had a feeling that blue tinge wasn't related to the glass. What did you use in the first place one of those little uv. flashlight's ??
  23. A little marble related, it's glass and it has lutz in it and I keep marbles in it sooo I'm gonna post it. A little bit of the old point and shoot Sony, take that !! Sure wish mibs where this easy to take pics of.
  24. This thread is one of the reasons I kept returning to this site and ended up being a member. Steph did a great job posting this thread, and Winnie posted some great pics, definitely some of the most beautiful mibs I've ever seen. I'm a sucker for any mib w/ a flame type pattern, Thanks all !! Keep em comin.
  25. Good luck indeed, a great group in great condition, I only have 1 good one, very basic white and blue pull, Exhibiting none of the flame like traits of yours, those last three are exactly what keep my motor runnin, thanks for postin the great pics, gives me a little hope, and very nice to look @ in the meantime !! I could get lost in that last one. I wants me share "AARRR" Thanks again for showing and sharing some outstanding examples Chad G. ( P.S. ) I went to Perth when I was in the Navy 37 years ago, didn't want to leave then and would like to return, great memories.
