  1. A pelt patch some vacor, imperials, a contemporary orange red white cork, a couple different kinds of cats and ( 2 German handmade ribbon cores ?? ) no idea about the eyeball except I don't like the way it's lookin @ me!! All newer mibs except the 2 Germans a plus being they all look to be in decent shape except " the eyeball " looks to have a ding or 2. "Thanks Peter"
  2. Definitely not the old M.K. ( ribbon & patch ), I agree also.
  3. Should have the Christmas stocking mib pics for ya tomorrow.
  4. No I never seen one like this before, I know I kept a lot of off the wall mibs. what looks to be the be green is a kind of turquoise colored pair of ribbons that flair and thin out on the sides like a patch, hardly any penetration @ all. The uv. portion is the peachy white creamy base which the entire mib is comprised of except for the green ribbons on the outside the entire marble is uv. Looks to me like a messed up eyeball, the uv. glow even show's under the green, so I take it to be thin even the ribbons. Posted it on the other forum, a unanimous Akro vote, I agree 100%, even this pattern is similar to that of the green one on the other thread, both bogglers. ( "eye" can't envision a production run of these, can you ?? ) Again, should have stuck with my first intuition.
  5. Man, some most excellent mibs for sure, luv them flames, what a great bunch of pulls, doesn't get any better. Thanks Where was I when they where handin these out ??
  6. Your gettin warmer, I heard that term also sounds familiar, I think sponge wear is the name for a certain type of glazed pottery ?? I just found your exact lawn bowls on ebay, made by Ayers with bone inlay, these looked brand new to me, I couldn't believe all the listing's, I wrote carpet bowls on the Ebay header and all kinds of bowls popped up.( found it) some kinda sponge dabbed pottery, they showed some pics, pretty spendy I guess, though from the pics I can't see why, Oh well to each their own.
  7. Me 3, first group all Alleys, love em. second group of cats, outside vitro, middle not sure, cats aren't my strong spot but I can identify those multi color veined as vitro hybrids. Here's a pic of one of the few I have (a reposted pic )
  8. I was @ a picnic about 5 years ago and they had a lawn bowl, that thing was heavy, more like a rock, didn't have letters like yours it had imprinted numbers, 3 of them, obviously not the weight, that's all I remember, I know nothing about them. Just kiddin about where the shed was. Those carpet bowls especially the ones with the flower like imprint look familiar, I know there's a name on them I just can't remember, That design was specific to them.
  9. The general consensus is for Akro, but I'll wait for someone else to weigh in.
  10. Reminds me of the hand made room @ the marble show. Where's the shed ?? pretty good shape for lyin around in a shed ( score !! ) How heavy are those lawn bowls you have ??
  11. I know what ya mean, I have two dog's that are mibbler's, if I leave my marbles on the floor when I get back some seem to have rolled off by themselves. That's like a royal purple and looks to be a solid color patch rather than the usual filament type array of a master, very nice mib indeed !! Hope ya find it. I have a pic of an old master I had that was blue and uv. hang on I have to look through my old auction pics. I posted this mib on "Akro and other ades" as well. Has a good size dimple but I kept it any way, I had a uv. thing going in my curio, couldn't fit another mib on the shelf, looked like the sun when I turned the black light on. My friend Terry took these pics for the auction. I auctioned off some killers. Don't see any of em around anymore. Wish I wouldn't have trade that bunch of hot pink's and tiger's eye's off for those handmades but I kinda owed the guy one, he always did me right, what comes around goes around I guess ??
  12. Not interested in the patch color as much as I am the base glass, is that glowing w/ a blue tinge Bruce ?? could ya put the second one under the light with it for a side by side color comparison ?? Don't think the patch is oxblood, too much light penetration to be oxblood.
  13. Remeasured w/ digitals 23/32 " those blue plastic one's are goin in the garbage, almost a full 32nd of an inch off, I knew they where gettin a little loose but ( really ) I posted on the other site also and all agree Akro, yes I have one 5/8 looks just like it but no av. or shading and no ox. Did not mean to mislead I don't like the other digitals I have because they're metal, SKreeech !! if ya know what I mean. That's why the plastic one's are worn out. Time to spend another 8 buck's. "Thanks for the comment man". Again sorry for the " mislead, from now on when I post I'm gonna put the mib in the digitals for the pic.
  14. The overwhelming opinion is Akro, This thing has black & green av. as well as a stripe of oxblood running the left side of the first pic and the bottom 3rd of the 2nd pic, the only thing it doesn't do is fluoresce, not uv. in the least. Still one of my favorite mibs, not opaque, translucent w/ a kind of green opalescence when you look through it w/ a bright light. wet mint w/ only as made creases, I lucked out on this one.
  15. Another Cherry ade patch I forgot about, these pic's showing the uv glow.
  16. A what I'll call master blue berry ade for the lack of any other name. these pics where also taken by Terry I had no camera @ the time of the auction. It had a melted dimple on one side but I kept it because of it being so uncommon. This mib had a very intense uv. glow. I had an entire shelf in my large curio dedicated to uv, w/ a 4' black light to bring out their best.
  17. I found an old picture of some of my patches taken by my friend Terry, 2 cherry ade patches, 2 lemonade patches and a limeade patch. Sorry I forgot I had some cherry ade pic's,
  18. A couple Akro carnelian ade mib's. Any one who has any of these knows the ade side glow's like crazy. It can even be seen through the carnelian colored side faintly.
  19. A lemonade swirl, I love the shading on this one, wish it was a bit bigger only 19/32 " , so content to have this one.
  20. A limeade swirl. I know it look's like the top is a cork but the limeade green turn's and goes the other way on the other side of the marble. Sadly I have no Cherry ade, if you do please post whatever you have.
  21. A 3/4" lemonade patch. Sorry I have no limeade patches, I'll just post a limeade swirl instead.
  22. This is an old Akro we used to call Blueberry ade, only seen this color ade in a patch, haven't seen many as of late and they where pretty rare when I had this one 10 yrs. ago. Never seen one in a corkscrew. Hopefully something (old ) but new for you to look at. A Super uv. reactive mib. Gave off a blue glow i.e. the blueberry ade name. One of a growing number of marbles I wish I had never auctioned off. These pictures of my marbles where taken by my friend Terry at the time of and for the auction.
  23. Thanks Steph, I knew special was just a collectors name, a special is " anything" other than a prize name, it's all just perspective, I appreciate the time you took to look up the I.D. sheet and sales box pics. Thanks, Chad G.
  24. "correct" I see none of the black or dark colored shading going around any of the color's in your sample box, the shading can be quite pronounced on some mib's @ what point do they become specials. I've always thought that no outline can exist, I see none in the box of examples you have with a black outline around the corking color, therefore all prize names I see no specials. The same as the ones I posted and specified as prize names, no outline or dark color, not a blend but a separate color from either i.e. red and green don't make black !! I hope I'm going in the right direction, like I said my camera is on the fritz when I need it most, I have some w/ a very heavy dark outline all the way around the outside cork color I most definitely consider specials, just as in Sara's 1st row blue surrounded by a black or dark colored outline and an orange base, this is a special to me, row 2 orange surrounded by black or a dark color w/ a green base also a special, Your point of view on this one would be of great help Steph, thank you. ( ALL marble's to me, I collect what I like just trying to get a clearer perspective and maybe I'll learn somethin in the process ) Nice rare ( I wish I had one ) sales mans sample box. Much Thanks, Chad G.
