If you have a Harbor Freight close they have cheap plastic ones 4 to the box, 4 x to 10 x , I dropped a jeweler's loupe and fractured one lens $ 30.00, harbor freight $3.99

Don't feel like the lone ranger !! Nice selection, man you're havin @ it, !! Good show Love those boxes I have several in 3 different sizes, no accidental opening here, built like a safe & waterproof on top of that !!

As far as I know just an Akro multi color cork, i.e. a special ( any corkscrew w/ more than 2 opaque color's ) Either way a keeper, I guess to me they're all keeper's, just in different degrees.

Brick !! Look's to be M.F. Christensen, is there a 9 swirl design on one end w/ a tail circling to the bottom ?? Akro made brick's also, very distinct the same w/ the M.F.'s. Akro made some slag's very similar to the Christensen 9, one good point on the 9's M. F. Christensen never made a single slag of red glass, so if you find a red slag w/ what appears to be a 9 definitely rule out M.F. right off the bat, more than likely an Akro. If this one is an M.F. it's what's called a white brick, due to the white striations that follow the 9 around. They also made black brick's and green brick's w/ the M.F. green brick's being most desirable and a little on the rarer side. Google some pics of each and check it out. Some brick's sold last year on Zaboo's Ebay site and labeled mulberry, so named by the digger's ?? so maybe some 1 off's

Great W. Va. and Alley's, do any of the the dark green swirl w/ white base have av. in the green ??

Thanks for the fix mibber, many pleasant memories. I remember getting these out of the dime store 10 cent machines when I was a kid, a genius idea since the first thing we did was lose just to get another next trip to town. I've found em so cracked up and dry you could literally tear chunk's out of them. " a nice post, thanks " Chad G.

Got a pic ?? It's so light I can't even see it !!

Nice work for 1 day, those are great boxes, takes a prybar to open w/o undoing the latches. Look's to be some winners there for sure, have fun !! Chad G.

See some Master, Akro, maybe 1 or 2 pelt dragon's, no visible coral mibs that I can make out. Chad G.

"More specific Akro marks" on a "7 dart vase " One of the larger one's they made. I don't believe the divot in the bottom was made to punch out, the glass is still quite thick in the center.

Not completely up on the historical side yet, just have my favorites, I always thought Pennsboro since most often associated w/ Alley, but read a thread that said St. Mary's, whom I link w/ the old Marble King factory, more than a little confusing for me ?? Clarification would be much appreciated Ron !! Thank you. Chad G.

Thanks Bruce @ this point my only one, but I did get a very good lead from a friend for some more. Next Month hopefully get some good ones on the way, I lucked out on it being a pee-wee, there is one micro spot of pitting, but I'm not complaining. love it !!
-
Comic's are all good, no not pontil's, first pic is chipping second pic look's like severe pitting, and I can't really tell from the pic but would agree w/ cheese, look's more a red color in your pics than oxblood. A pic of my comics for comparison, all are 11/16 except EMMA @ 21/32nds. Just one more to go "Annie" and you'll have the set. There's still 2 more comic type graphite print pelt's, "Tom mix" and an ad mib "Cotes master loaf" both will put a definite ding in your wallet VHTF, and VVHTF in mint cond.

Yes another Champion furnace marble, and one of my favorite color combo's @ that, make's 2 you have Bruce. "Thanks for the pics". I do have a pee-wee I completely spaced out, it's in my pee-wee thread. I'll post it again here where it belongs, 1/2 " on the nose.

The only games I've seen them on is the small general Grant boards, both wooden & imitation I think I have some pics, hang on a sec. I'll look ( found them ) these are pics from an old Ebay sale, I've seen several small one's like this sell, the only one I've seen in person was a small solitaire game but the board wasn't wood. I can't for the life of me remember what it was made of, the box and everything was there, he wanted $300.00 for it so I shied away. Looking back I probably should have purchased it, some black in the ribbon core's and a few other thing's not real common to old hand mades, yes, every marble was a pee-wee looked as if they where possibly the orig. mibs, no fleas etc. I was tempted. Here's the pics. All German pee-wee, and look's like that's about as big as you can go on this board, I believe it sold for right around $175.oo this was several year's ago so just my best guess. It only came w/ 12 mobs not complete like the one I seen w/ 32., all ribbon core, these appear to be substitute's. Wish I had this board full of orig. very small but quite detailed. I love it !! I could only find one more, this one from Worth point.
