  1. They look like foreign made "Whisplers" do you have a measurement on them, preferably in fractions of an inch, these are probably around 3/4ths or better if they are Whisplers. Vitro never made sunbursts, Sunbursts are Master marbles which these resemble but I am pretty sure are not. OH, I see now the 1" measurement in the header, I'd say they're all Whisplers, not master or Vitro, but foreign made.

Found this on Feebay, you tell me ?? I've been hearing of a "Peltier Volleyball" for yeas & seen many different marbles that obviously were not of the same manufacturer, so we need some provenance on this type. Only problem is most locations are buried or ar no longer accessible. Hands are tied for the meantime no matter how much I "want something to be" now I know where Bill got his name "Mibcapper" LINK :: https://www.ebay.com/itm/256041305732?hash=item3b9d404684:g:7QQAAOSwj~JkNjYy
  3. Many Marble King cats have av but they don't look like yours Brother, I agree with yours being foreign made. I have a few green veined ones somewhere w/ av , not sure who made them either ??
  4. I was gonna say Lemon Lime but it seems there are two different bases for them, one translucent and one opaque, though the color scheme is the same so I guess so ??
  5. Boy scout is an MK ID, i.e. blue and yellow. WE used to call your OP "Girl Scouts" I am somewhat amis as to the actual name they use for your OP now. If it were me I'd call them John Deere but we all know what everyone is calling a John Deere now is a yellow base w/ trans. green ribbons, the exact opposite of what I consider it should be.
  6. Mica in marbles should look like this. The mica is added onto the cane, not mixed w/ the base glass, this being the reason it usually only appears near the surface. There are some rare examples of floating mica throughout such as in a "Blizzard" but a true blizzard is rare. All these are over one inch, so the chunks of mica are, or can be larger. The smaller handmades tend to have smaller chunks but can have larger ones. There is usually an exception to every rule. Seeing no mica in the OP pix, multiple fractures impacts, maybe a hammer or something, doesn't look like marble hits, both in the OP look machine made IMO.
  7. Yes, this was Ron's last post here Brad (6:34 PM,11th) his last post on AAM was (@ 7:21 AM, 12th) probably the last things he did was to check in before tending to his property. I never met Ron but I do sorely miss him !!
  8. This is his mark as exhibited on his homepage "CF" Carl Fisher, a lot smaller on his marbles, this one is exaggerated. Here's the size of his mark on an actual marble he made

    Peltier ?

    No pelt, agree w/ Vitro
  10. Top is a gamming marble, next 2 down are both Peltier Rainbo's, thanx for the extra pix Nate
  11. Yes, this one may be an Akro cork but the UV reaction in it will have no bearing on value in this case. AS said there are certain Akro, Alley and a few other manufacturers that have marbles where uv. reaction is a requirement to qualify them as being the type they are labeled as. But uv reactions in whole have little bearing in changing the value of common marbles, they made them by the millions.
  12. West Virginia Swirl, not positive on manufacture IMO Slag, best guess would be Akro IMO Leaning Peltier Rainbo on this one
  13. The game of "Skip Ball" for this "Sunday's Best" the smell of cotton candy and beer sausages always flows through my mind when I play this game, a miniature of what I played as a kid at the fair. 100% functional, ball return, score keeper and built to last another lifetime.

We have 2 types of solid av mibs common to the US also not a positive ID. Champion or Master are suspect. No ideas on yours Brother, from where did you acquire them ?? We just had a discussion here. Take a look Brother, Melissa's is suspect for Champion, and the one I have is suspect for Master. Chuck @cheese posted some like Melissa's sometime back on AAM as maybe being Alley which I agree w/. No provenance as of yet, maybe Chuck will see this post and have something to add ??
  18. This one ?? Not my marble, one of Terry's, but the exact same color combo & just like the only one I ever had. In hand I could tell ya 100 on your OP but ??
