Thanks for sharing...that is a nice set. The tall chocolate/peach set I posted, I'll have to try to identify them by other characteristics as they are not marked at all. I didn't pay much for my single 851 or the set (from a private seller), so I'm happy either way, no matter the value. Love the slag 😊

Thanks for sharing and shedding more light on this subject, Ron. I will continue to listen, look and learn 😊

You and I? Oh boy, look out Coulee Region! Yeah, I need to get back to Lacrosse...haven't been to that 3 story mall for some time now. Every time I go there it's Akroware heaven. There's always stuff there. It's definitely a VERY tough place for one to stay within one's budget!

That would be a blast!

I remember growing up as a kid in Indiana, so much snow one year, around 1975, we got snowed in bad. Had to exit the house from the second floor windows! We lived in the country so I'm sure wind aided with the drifting but still, these days don't compare to then!

Yeah, same here. Seems like more brown Christmas's then white in recent years. Even the weekly outlook going through December doesn't show anything below 30 for daytime highs until late December. Also been seeing the bulk of our snow come from January through March. Poor Mother Earth, she gets crazier by the year.

Yes it is! Today, tommorow and Tuesday is supposed to be lower 70's and sunshine then back to late October reality with 40's for highs Friday and after 😐

Pre-Halloween Bazaar held by the Mabel United Methodist Church. We donated a piece of window frame art, an old barn window left as is with a cross covered in lavender and yellow flowers painted onto the old glass...it fetched $25. Plus we spent $55 ourselves (or she did, she held the number card 😁), so a good day. Between the free will donations for the lunch and the auction, I'm pretty sure the church raised around $2,000! Very happy! Good job too all the volunteers, patrons and Fillmore County Commissioner Marc Prestby as auctioneer! Happy Halloween!

Not sure if they have them over there, but if you score any, I will take some Bottlecaps Candy when you get back from trick or treating 🤪

Awesome 👍

These are very similar to a handful that I have...I'm sure I posted them for ID quite some time ago but don't recall the maker?

Wow, they are identical to mine in construction

Very cool, Chad! I haven't put any focus on purchasing marble related games as of yet, the only thing somewhat related to this area would be a little plastic hand held pinball game from the 70's that uses little steelies. Can't really say that I have come across anything while in the wild yet, Maybe I did and just overlooked them while focusing on other stuff. I think its time to widen the scope while out there! 😊

Yep! Definitely see handlebars I think....looking forward to the unveiling, Joep!

Did a bit of research and yes indeed, it would appear to be Houze Glass indeed! Since I've only been collecting slag glass for barely a year, and never acquired anything Houze over the years, wasn't sure. Also wasn't absolutely sure if Akro ever produced anything related to candles. I also saw a set of candlestick holders on Ebay (different colors but the same) up for auction for $68. Same "851" on the bottom also. The seller claims that they are 1920's. The sellers feedback/rating is 100%, having been a seller since 2008. I know with Ebay things can easily be shady, but I'll look at that info as a positive? And though I can't test it as of yet, I'm thinking this one that I have is UV reactive. Either way, I got it for under $10 so pretty happy with it. Thanks for the lead on that, Akro! 😊

Looking forward to seeing those pics! We have the church bazaar today at the American Legion at 11am, then after that yardwork. Hopefully going to get those 2 big pumpkins carved today? I know where a huge "drive thru" haunted house is, the plan is to hit it next weekend. But the same scenario, long lines and waiting time. We'll see!
