  1. Agree with Chad....it's all about what you like though. Jabo does have attractive mibs, and some cats eyes can be cool. With that said, I wouldn't give any more than a few bucks for those, if I liked them. There's always that chance of hitting that "diamond in the rough", couldn't say for sure if one's in there. Just don't overpay too chase it.
  2. That's cool...I used to do the same thing with football cards years ago, put together a bunch of grab bags for kids. Every year during our Steam Engine Days festival here, I would take them down to the grounds too a friend of mine from up by Minneapolis named Dale Leitz. He's a sports memorabilia collector and seller who I have known since the mid 90's. I would always get in touch with him shortly before that weekend and ask what he needed (certain teams, players, etc.) Besides our on the side wheeling and dealing, I would take a pile of commons down too him also for bagging up. Most were giveaways, some he might toss in a flashy insert or rookie card and put a price of a dime or quarter on it. Some of the kids felt pretty proud to be able to purchase these little bags too! All in all, total fun with great rewards for all.
  3. I just gave my girlfriend's sister's kid Toby a jar of marbles about a week ago. He's around 11 years old. It was a quarter sized Mason jar full of "commons". She talked to her sister a couple days later and turns out that Toby was super attached to his gift when he got home. He's been carrying it around with everywhere he goes, even sleeping with the jar! Expecting to see his brother come along with them next time they are here for a visit
  4. Yay! Good too see you show up on the Score thread, Chad! Great assortment. I'm in a month long drought right now pertaining to "in the wild" catches, great too see a score. By the way, I still think it counts as "score in the wild"....teamwork!
  5. Not sure if this is a messed up caged cat or something else...
  6. Tomato sandwiches are in order!
  7. Oh, that was your stomach? I thought it was a semi going through on Highway 44 "Jake breaking"
  8. Actually yes I do, a big one with 5 or 6 trays. Used it for dehydrating peppers last year 😊
  9. Today's bounty for tomorrow's salsa! And there will be at least two more waves of tomatoes in this quantity before it starts slowing down...
  10. I agree totally....fantastic thread, was "hot" right out of the gate. Absolutely magnificent posts everyone!
  11. Welcome to MarbleConnection! Since you already jumped right into the forums before posting here, you are already aware that the folks here are a wonderful group. You are definitely in the right place, The knowledge, experience and history that some of these collectors here possess in my opinion is second to none. Enjoy!
  12. We're using anywhere from 30Ib-50Ib test, braided line; 4oz-10oz weights. Depending on where your casting, definitely need the weight or your line ends up drifting back to you. Ole Miss has got some current! Braided line instead of monofilament recommended because the Muskie and Northern can easily slice right through the monofilament. Giant nightcrawlers, 2 inch shiners or minnows, fish heads are some of the bait used. Depends on what you're after. I'm starting with a couple of lures from the "vintage" tackle box this coming Sunday, see if I can't nail a Largemouth Bass or Northern. After that, gunning for the giant Flathead Catfish I saw getting pulled in last week. Plenty of pictures forthcoming, I promise you!
  13. It's not "what happened to your cat", more like "keep letting this happen to your cat!" Nice 👍
  14. Had a monstrous day yesterday, missed West Virginia Wednesday...nice marbles everyone! 😊
  15. I don't have very many for this category around here, being that I haven't been collecting a very long time (or buying online or trading), so I'll slowly put what I have. 0.99 Bennington 😊
