  1. In my last year of High School I worked at a cheese factory on the weekends. We had to go "out in the field" to "turn over" rounds of aged cheese. After awhile, we got used to the funk--my family never got used to it--the funk! My mom would say "take yours clothes off outside--or take a shower with them on first". I still love a great "funky cheese"--I live in the right area for sure. Funky Cheese--On!!

  7. OK, I blew some dust off the books today and did some searching. "Collecting Early Machine-made Marbles"---Robert S. Block; page 65, the lower two. It is getting quite dusty and I may be out for a while--lol. Marble--On!!

  10. You can find one at any marble show that you may attend. I would say not so common rather than rare or hard to find. I would put them right there with the powder blue and yellow Popeye in the not so common bracket. Worth your efforts though Fire. Marble—On!!

  12. I just love to see research being done before an opinion is asked. Kokomos’ are a separate thing that needs this type of research. I do not research Kokomo marbles--nuf said. I would call this one a "Rainbo" Of course all opinions are appreciated and welcomed and I hope to see some more. Nice marble—nice research! Marble—On!!

  15. These can be tuff--the patches. It does look like an older patch type marble. Akro and Master had many that looked alike. Many may think that the cut-lines follow the colors—not always the case imho I cannot really see the actual cut-lines so I will say either or. Marble—On!!

  18. You may just have a wild ā€œBananaā€ there Fire. I know—the glass is usually crystal clear in a Banana ---but, this is the way of machine made marbles—ya never know for sure. Of course, I appreciate all opinions and look to see some more. Marble—On!!
  19. Ohhh! Not a cloud--this much we can all agree on. It is a hand-gathered marble and I agree with MFC. If you are selling this one is suggest this link for a further evaluation—top notch and he will tell you what you have for sure. My advice—take his advice, swallow the percentage and get top dollar. https://www.marbleauctions.com/ This is a really hard find imho, very rare indeed. Nice stuff—thanks for sharing it.
