  1. The Vacor Atomospheres have been hitting some high prices lately-the last two years or so. Expect some copies, I have seen them for sale lately---copies—some very nice ones. If I can buy what I think is a copy for under $25 bucks I will bring it home and compare—I usually lose—not always though😁. Vacor Atmospheres will usually measure around 25MM—this is important, they were hand-gathered and the size will vary by mm in all cases. The 25 mm specimens were sold in nets at Toys R Us. Atmospheres also came in 45mm and 50 mm sizes, this is where it becomes tricky because these bigger sizes were a “special order’ and are quite rare and go for big money in today’s world. Atmospheres are becoming a niche in the world of collectable marbles because of the attempts at mimicking them. As always, do your research and if you trust the seller—go full on—if not---pull in the purse strings and get some nice corkscrews instead👍. Fire—I would say 50-50—chance, these marbles are all over the place as far as coverage or content is concerned, they are after all--made by Vacor. I used to know one when I saw one—not anymore. If it has some "orange peel" texture it might be worth a look at but I am not a glass maker and do not know how easy this"orange peel" is to copy. Nice marble regardless! I appreciate all opinions-- Gamble—On!!

  3. I appreciate and have enjoyed all of the posts on this one. I do not have to be re-quoting myself again with this one however. It has been fun—let’s keep it going regarding this marble. Step up and be counted regardless of what you may think. It may be a$2 marble in many opinions but this is collecting—not selling. The OP is not a Vacor imho and the more I see of it, the more I see a “wonkey” Pelt MCS. Come—On Pelt-heads—step-up! All others as well, It has been a great run on this thread. I just love this stuff—great discussion with no real adversity—great stuff. I appreciate all opinions as most do and will continue to, on the greatest Marble posting Board ever—“The Marble Connection”. Marble—On!!
  4. Here is what I am thinking. These are Akro “Prize Name” marbles that I am showing. This type, with the purple hue, are all over the place with coverage of the purplish color, it will lean towards white on many occasions. The OP may be a Jabo, they did make some very similar with this look involved. I appreciate all opinions and hope for a few more. I just love this stuff! Marble—On!!
  5. Here are some Vacor "Aliens" (bluish green base glass) surounding a group of Vacor multi colored cats. Marble--On!!
  6. Nice call Fire--it could be a Vacor "Alien"--a very weak one though. Marble--On!!
  7. They are all very nice cheese--the first image has my heart pumping--love it! Marble--On!!
  8. Killer for sure!! Nice images! Marble--On!!
  9. Not too shabby cheese! Marble--On!!
  10. In my experience, Master Made marbles are nice round hard feeling marbles with few surface defects or out of roundness detectable. I would lean towards an Asian made marble here. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more on this one. Nice marble—none the less! Marble—On!!
  11. I agree-it could be either. Marble--On!!
  12. "ToysRus" Fire--I passed on many myself--including Atmos. Oh well "Forward" is my state motto--I agree. Marble--On!!
  13. You are looking for the slits, these show up in Akro game marbles or "solids" as well--just a tell that it is an Akro--the "fisheye" will flow around the entire marble as you backlight it while turning it--sometimes the fisheye will be limited to the slits—sometimes not—it depends upon the depth of the marble. I wish that I could show you this in an image—not yet—I have tried—many times. Marble—On!!
  14. The red one may actually be an Akro “Flintie”—they come in a variety of looks, some look very opaque in hand and some will not. Backlight it and look for a pronounced “fisheye” effect no matter how you turn it. “Flinties “are opalescent—hard to tell with the red ones though. The green one—looks like an Akro to me. Marble—On!!
  15. Nice marble for sure Joe2. I love this one—nice marble for sure!! Vacor? Or WVS—I love it just the same. Marble—On!!
  16. I do not blame you for keeping it in your pocket for a week or so. It is a nice one. Vacors will be dug out of your "jug" in the years to come, they made some bad ones but some are just real nice. Marble-On!!
  17. #2 is a WVS—no maker from me #3 is a very nice Jabo—very nice! I appreciate all opinions and welcome some more on these. Marble—On!!
  18. Either is what you have😁. I like these big ones. Marble--On!!
  19. I agree with Step--the last image kinda blew the yellow out on the last one---Pelt PP imho. Marble--On!!
  20. "Fiesta"--yes--nice one--nice coverage. Is this a bigger marble? No Pontil--Vacor trait with the badly rounded seams/folds--especially in the bigger ones. Marble--On!!
  21. The transparent glass throws me off---yet--it could be? Marble--On!!
  22. These are up for debate but they did show up in the "Later" Akro #230 and #300 boxes. Master Glass did put some of these out after they purchased Akro, supposedly using old Akro stock marbles. Just my humble opinion--as I remember it anyhow. Marble--On!!
  23. Nice Rainbo. Marble--On!!
  24. This sure looks like one (St. Marys?) Marble--On!!
