  1. This one may be a weak version of the Vacor "Twister". Marble--On!!
  2. Hmmm, I have not experienced this problem. Blame it on the weather--lol. If it happens again get a hold of @Chad G. or @bumblebee Marble--On!
  3. I agree with all of the above. We all try to stretch our marbles into something that they are not. All are guilty here at "The Marble Connection" without a doubt--everyone that has ever posted and that is saying alot-- a whole lot. This is why we post a question. The OP is a very nice marble imho. Keep them coming! Marble--On!!
  4. Sure they can go. Fill a canning jar with clearies and put it in a sunny window first, you may want to keep them or sell them at a rummage sale. I have read of these creating burn marks so be carefull. Marble--On!!
  5. Nice marble. No names from me though. Marble--On!!
  6. There are no dumb questions here. Clearies and solids may find use by a number of crafters. I display a few larger clearies on the window sill. It is hard to seperate company from company with this type. Masters are pretty easy but the rest? You may get a box some day that needs a few, you never know. Marble--On!!
  7. Yes, Vacor does make some very nice cats. You have to pick through them just like the rest of the makers. I still see nets for sale once in awhile on Ebay. Marble--On!!
  8. That does not surprise me. I took my first one to a show to have it ID'd. Then I got the whole story. I have two or three somewhere. As I recall they were around 3/4". If I ever come across them I will post a few images. Marble--On!!
  9. These cats that you posted all deserve separate posts, they may get lost otherwise. This blue one may not be a cat imho Marble--On!
  10. Research Vacor Cats with these. Marble--On!
  11. Vitro x3 for sure--you are getting the Vitro vibe! Marble--On!!
  12. Nice "Whitie"for sure Melissa. Marble--On!!
  13. That is a nice marble for sure Chad but I am talking about 20 years ago--just killer looking Aliens. Thanks for sharing this one. Marble--On!!
  14. This is a WVS--possibly a Champion. It does look like it has some UV reaction to it--nice marble. More opinions are needed when I ID a WVS I appreciate them all. Marble--On!!
  15. The left hand one is a Vitro imho--it deserves a better look, with better lighting. The other two are Pelts--the middle one is a nice Rainbo with possible opal involved. Marble--on!!
  16. I would love to see some of those "Alien Eggs" Who made them? I could never afford one--- Marble--On!!
  17. Ummm-to much UV--not enough marble--- Jabo-imho. Marble--On!!
  18. Good point Ron---- Marble--On!!
  19. MFC imho Marble--On!!
  20. Some Atmospheres are so filled with bubbles that I was fooled into thinking that they were "Lutz" against a gold background until just lately--"live and learn". The following is just my opinion and belief. Vacor “hand-gathered” these Atmosphere marbles and “finished “them on standard sized rollers that they had for production. They may or may not have followed these marbles with a torch as Brian Graham shows when he is using the “Pelt Miller Machine”-at least the bigger ones may have been. At the very least these were at the top of their production quality and quality control. The 25mm may have been made using “hot” rollers and would explain some of the folds and imperfections that are included with the 25mm sizes. The bigger sized marbles are quite nice in my humble experience. I appreciate all opinions and hope for some more. Marble—On!!
  21. The Vacor Atomospheres have been hitting some high prices lately-the last two years or so. Expect some copies, I have seen them for sale lately---copies—some very nice ones. If I can buy what I think is a copy for under $25 bucks I will bring it home and compare—I usually lose—not always though😁. Vacor Atmospheres will usually measure around 25MM—this is important, they were hand-gathered and the size will vary by mm in all cases. The 25 mm specimens were sold in nets at Toys R Us. Atmospheres also came in 45mm and 50 mm sizes, this is where it becomes tricky because these bigger sizes were a “special order’ and are quite rare and go for big money in today’s world. Atmospheres are becoming a niche in the world of collectable marbles because of the attempts at mimicking them. As always, do your research and if you trust the seller—go full on—if not---pull in the purse strings and get some nice corkscrews instead👍. Fire—I would say 50-50—chance, these marbles are all over the place as far as coverage or content is concerned, they are after all--made by Vacor. I used to know one when I saw one—not anymore. If it has some "orange peel" texture it might be worth a look at but I am not a glass maker and do not know how easy this"orange peel" is to copy. Nice marble regardless! I appreciate all opinions-- Gamble—On!!
  22. Yes, The editor will ask you to restore previous content if you back out of your—“unfinished”-- previous post---if you scroll down you will see an option that says--- “Your previous content has been restored” Just hit “Clear editor” and you can start all over again. Marble—On My marble collecting friend!
  23. I appreciate and have enjoyed all of the posts on this one. I do not have to be re-quoting myself again with this one however. It has been fun—let’s keep it going regarding this marble. Step up and be counted regardless of what you may think. It may be a$2 marble in many opinions but this is collecting—not selling. The OP is not a Vacor imho and the more I see of it, the more I see a “wonkey” Pelt MCS. Come—On Pelt-heads—step-up! All others as well, It has been a great run on this thread. I just love this stuff—great discussion with no real adversity—great stuff. I appreciate all opinions as most do and will continue to, on the greatest Marble posting Board ever—“The Marble Connection”. Marble—On!!
  24. Here is what I am thinking. These are Akro “Prize Name” marbles that I am showing. This type, with the purple hue, are all over the place with coverage of the purplish color, it will lean towards white on many occasions. The OP may be a Jabo, they did make some very similar with this look involved. I appreciate all opinions and hope for a few more. I just love this stuff! Marble—On!!
