    Akro?

Nice marble--This one looks orange to me. If it is orange--very nice--if it is red----stiil very nice--- Well, these red corks like this were marketed as "Cardinal Reds" vs the more usual Red slags that were marked under the the same name--in the same box of 25. Nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  4. Hey Ric, I have a few bags of Master Glass "Cat's Eye" The "Potato Chip" is included. These bags are so cloudy that it is hard to tell--I have a very bright light. I am going for some "Ruffles" right now---my wife calls them "gods food". I do not disagreešŸ˜. Marble--On!!
  5. OK, I quoted myself again. Welcome to the world that I live in---- I just hate polished machine made marbles---just hate them---Really hate them----really, really, really---hate them. This one--- in my very humble opinion is a polished Peltier ā€œSupermanā€. It sucks to see it, but I see nothing about this marble that says Vacor. I always appreciate all opinions but I must take a stand on this one. Polished machine marbles just have no place in my world--they should be sent to the sun and forgotton! OK, I am over it for now. Thanks for readingšŸ™ˆ. Marbleā€”On!!
  6. I will stick to the drop through templates Ric and add a bit if necessary---not---just not. I own too many measuring devicesā€”the template works for meā€”quick and easy---close enough in my world. I have used a board stretcher though. Marbleā€”On!!
  7. Marble genetics? Were is @wvrons? He is the closest to a glass genealogist that I know of. Go ahead Ron and tell us "oh no" not again---glass genes!! Just kidding Ron--lighten up. I hope that Windows 11 is not getting your goat too much. Marble--On!!
  8. OK Ric, I will settle on 33/32"šŸ˜. Good point! Marble--On!!
  9. Great stuff Ric. Marble--On!!
  10. This may be one that was found in a "dig". There are many Akroā€™s (among other makers) that are out there in "circulationā€ that were discarded by the factory only to be dug up much later by marble collecting enthusiasts. These discards were thrown out back in the day in rivers, sewers, old landfills and a variety of ways. There is nothing wrong with thatā€”ā€œdiggingā€-most WVS are IDā€™d by the strong efforts of the ā€œdiggersā€ out there. If I lived in West Virginia, I would be digging every chance that I had. I still get lucky in Wisconsin once and a while in my vegetable garden. Marbleā€”On!!
  11. Here is a nice one inch Akro corkscrew. As you can see in sits on top of a 31/32ā€ template very nicelyā€”it does fall through one inch in the template. It may be dugā€”or notā€”I do not care. It was a great purchase, and it is as minty as they get--- I just love these big corks. Marbleā€”On!!
  12. Zebras have white stripes. Marble--On!!
  13. I would sort these as Vitro. Just my opinion--- in my marble collecting realm. I am far from being always right. Marble--On!!
  14. One inch? The big ones play by different rules. Akro is mho. The yellow does it for me regardless of any other color that may be involved. I am guessing that this one has some UV reaction as well. I appreciate all opinions and learn from them all. Marble--On!!
  15. Show us the other Pelts----it may not be random--maybe just "special". Vacor marbles have been around for some time though--so you just never know. Marble--On!!
  16. It may be a Vacor"Blue Tang" with some rare green invloved--just sayin. Still---a nice looking marble! Marble--on!!
  17. Hmmm, the marble is a pelt slag--no doubt. I do not think that the cullet matches--but it does look like it came from Ottawa. Nice stuff Fire! Marbleā€”On!!
  18. This is a very nice marble. If it is not a Pelt--I would love to know what it is. I respect all opinions and wish for more on this one. Marbleā€”on!!
  19. I can read mistakes--mostly because I have made many. MFC vs CAC is a common mistake when using the written word, even with the well seasoned collectors. Soā€”I do not blame you for calling it a CACā€”MFC is not excusable. I would still love to see some more opinions on this one. I love all opinions and I wish for some more regarding this marble. Marbleā€”On!!
  20. This one looks like a Jabo to me. All opinions are appreciated--- Marble--On!!
  21. My first though was I think that chocomibs meant to say CAC. These colors are in the CAC pallette. Why not a CAC? I appreciate all opinons--- Marble--On!!
  22. This one may be a Superman--or not. If I saw this one up for bid on ebay I would say that it has been polished. There looks to be some polishing coumpound stuck in a few crevices and I also see what looks like polished out 1/2 moons in the first image. We cannot always go by the finish on any marble but this surface looks a tad out of wack to me. Marble--On!!
