I am missing something here. I see a wacky MCS. Just my humble opinion. Marble—On!!

this was my biggest kokomo prospect of the day....

I think that it is a Pelt Rainbo. Marble--On!! -
I do not think that it is an Akro—maybe a Vitro—more likely a WVS that go a little “globby”. Follow the purple streak. All opinions are welcomed and needed. Marble—On!!

Left to right. Akro Peltier “bee family” Akro with some odd Jabo traits All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Nice group, Marble—On!!

These are Master Glass “Brushed glass” white on blue and these are the ones that I believe are in question vs the OP. I do not recall seeing a “Master Made” blue based with white marble in a “Comet” or any other “Master Made” named marble made before they purchased Akro. As said before this week by one of our best—“they are marbles” and anything can happen. Vitro made these dark blue with white, with this big glob of amorphous white opaque stringy glass with a few different colors of transparent based glass—danged if I can remember the name—but they had one. As always, all opinions are welcomed and appreciated---needed as well. Marble—On!!

Nice marble--size matters--does it glow under uv😁. Marble--On!!

I see no Akro or Master here, I would sort all three as Vitro's. All opinions are welcomed. Marble--On!!

Over one inch is a weird thing—I do not believe that it is a Vacor. WVS imho. The right hand one is a Pelt in the first set. The greenish one is pretty cool—I can’t wait for an ID on this one. All opinions are needed and welcomed. Marble—on!!

You will not know unless you look—very closely. Just above 9/16” so 5/8” as it would have dropped—A simple Rainbo?—NOT!! Marble—On!!

Hello all, I put together a bunch (two images) of Vacor marbles that may look like marbles made by other “Vintage” USA or foreign made companies. Some of these I cannot name, Vacor has been around for a long time. Vacor marbles have fooled many over the years. (MANY , including me!) Fool me once—etc, so I started a research in hand with these babies many years ago and turned into a collector of Vacor----go figure—. Vacors are a collectable for me much like any other machine made marble and you can find some real nice ones if you look hard enough. So many names though and you know me with names❌. I still use the Vacor website very often. The second image shows some Akro Agates vs Vacor “Roosters”. If you line any of these Vacor’s up just right (like many e-bay sellers do👇) and you do not recognize them, you will be disappointed. They are commonly seeded in lots of marbles. The last set of images show a Vacor “Katydid” with a transparent “metallic/snakeskin” finish, very cool. If you have any Vacor marbles that may resemble those from other maker’s marbles please post them. We have all been fooled—let’s just face it and own up🦄. Familiarize yourself with Vacors and collect them if you like—just do not be fooled if you would rather not. Thanks for looking and--- Marble—On!!

The third image may show a melted pontil on the far left. Size matters and by the way Fire--lol--- does it glow under UV😁? Marble--On!!

There are so many folks eating popcorn or “waiting to see” the next post with this subject that I decided to put a response together myself. Vacor Roosters, also known as “Red Rooster”, Rocky Rooster” and a variety of other names, some foreign to the USA, are a very popular marble world-wide and you can see why. These were and are made in a variety of runs and the colors that I show are just a small example of the shades and fill. Some of these base colors I could swear are orange. They all have one thing in common—the lack of a bubble filled base glass. The red is very clear and well made while the white has a tendency to run or melt/spread on the surface. The Vacor website claims that these have “Orange Swirls” but I have not seen any on the surface—just buried under the “Red”. The second set of images shows three different runs with folds, not uncommon with Vacor marbles (or any other make as far as that goes) This is not an attempt to sway browncat73 from his most positive ID on the OP marble, just an attempt to save CG from the DARKSIDE of collecting Pelts, who by the way has made a very good argument regarding this marble imho. I have researched Vacors for many years and I have well, a few too many nets. Not just because of the resemblance to Pelts but others as well. That is for another thread. The OP is a Vacor---no doubt in my humble mind. Marble On!!
