The OP is a WVS of some make or manner--no Vacor here imho. I looked hard because it reminded me of some Pelts that I have seen---nope. Marble--On!!

Where is the rust? I have packed plenty of bearings back in the days--this one should have a flat side or two to it if it is a burnt bearing. To tell the truth--a great post and thread considering the object. Marble-On!!

It seems to me that Ron, our treasured marble collecting friend---RIP, described seeing this process with either Vitro or Jabo marbles as they were being made. It involved a spray process once the marbles hit the rollers. I agree--hard to tell the difference between the ones that were made by a variety of companies. Marble--On!!

Same thing in Wisconsin---a good thing too.

Pretty cool Melissa. My wife and I were lucky enough to find some in bloom a few years back in a protected bog area. Very cool to see.

Your top image has a “German Handmade” at the bottom. It is shown with a bunch of Vitro Agate “All Reds” and possibly a few newer Marble king patch and ribbon type. It is the same with the other images, minus the “German”. The bottom image shows A Vacor at the bottom of the pile. It is the only vacor that I see and it is more than likely a “Red Devil”. Mega purchased their marbles from Vacor—same thing really. Marble—On!!

They are all nice Gladys--those big ox patches get my blood rolling though. Very nice!! Marble--On!!!
