I will tell you what Leigh, If there was ever such a thing as a double ingot times two Akro corkscrew the one on the left just gets my blood a boiling--- REALLY BOILING. It is either a great image or just a great marble regardless of the condition. I cannot imagine—(and I have a great imagination) how in the heck it could happen! Give us a size on that one—please. More images as well. It may be one of a kind. I do not know if you can tell but I think this one may be special. As always—all opinions are welcomed. Marble—On!!

The one on the left wants to be an Akro and a Pelt at the same time—WVS imho—very nice. The one on the right--- There are Vitros that have an amorphous cloud, mass, blob, of white along with a variety of transparent glass colors—I believe that they were a short run. This one reminds me of them—I cannot remember the name. Steph may know, I wish that I could figure out that contact thing---help me out someone. I think that this one may be an Akro—or one of those hard for me to define Vitros. Marble—On!!

Oxblood August, It kind-of rhymes.

Well, I am the one that insisted on a Macro camera. I am disappointed to find this Green Akro Oxblood with as much damage as it shows here, in hand it does look pretty minty—LOL—old eyes maybe. Just another testament to how brittle oxblood can be. This one is 7/8” and still a hard one to find. I posted the “fly” just to prove that I can still focus—he/she was no help and it did fly away---no harm done—LOL. P.S. I do hurt flies-but only in the house. Marble—On!! -

I hope that I got the effect here to show just what Oxblood looks like up close. A brick is always the best example— Marble—On!! -
I tried very hard----today was not my day. These are 5/8” and under Jabo contract marbles from the “Tribute to Friendship” run 3/6 to 3/7 2009. We are all used to seeing the ¾” and bigger ones from the “Contract runs”. The smaller ones are not too shabby. I love a good patch. Marble—On!!

Hmmm, nice marble. More of a Stork than a Turkey. I will say CAC on this one. All further opinions are welcomed. Marble On!!

You did well, that is a killer "Brick". Marble--On!!

The one on the right is a Pelt Rainbo. The one on the left may be one as well, hard to tell. Nice marbles! All opinions are welcomed and needed. Marble—On!!

I do not think that it is an Akro, some other WVS imho. Every company that had oxblood on their palette is a little different from the oxblood from other makers. Akro had several versions on their own. The color is oxblood red, you have that right. For me to call it oxblood glass I would have to have it in hand. It is pretty close and I am sure that there are collectors that will call it such. Cool marble! All opinions are welcomed and needed. Marble—On!!

These came out of a box that I had marked “dug Jacksons” with a question mark behind it. I have asked about some of them before and if I got an answer—I forgot—lol. I will post again and wait for an answer. Marble—On!!

Killer marble!

That is a cool bubble. As I understand it, the longer the glass is “cooked” the fewer/smaller the bubbles would be. There are of course exceptions to every rule, that is just the nature of marble making. Marble—On!!

I was just lucky today. I got a few shots of a nice Yellow Swallowtail on my “Giant Joe-Pye Weed”. I plant for Butterflies and this is a bonus. I fear that the Swallowtails are in a bad way because they rely on Ash trees which have been decimated by the Emerald Ash Borer. I have had hundreds of Ash cut down in my area in the last year. Those yellow ones in the background are cup plants—same with them. I am no giant—6’ and shrinking, but these plants are just huge, tall and they support very many pollinators. Get some and enjoy they are the easiest I have grown in any perennial, just mulch them heavy, they like the wetness. Garden—On!!
