  1. I found this in some dug MK today. It has a cool little window. Marble—On!!
  2. I call this one an Orange Brick, I looked at it three times this week, on the fourth time I decided to post it here, my Sundays best. Marble—On!!
  3. Hello Tommy, The cut-off marks are always a good start for an ID if there are no pontils but sometimes they are hard to find, the cutoffs. There were a few companies that made Hand-gathered machine made slag’s. MFC and Akro were two of them, I believe that CAC did as well, they are a tad easier to distinguish from the others. I would have no problem pointing at MFC on yours. As always more input is appreciated. Marble—On!!
  4. A really nice marble Marbleized!! Marble--On!!
  5. "Carnelian" Mojo not Cornelian. A nice one, thats a killer brick as well! There is also an "Oxblood Carnelian" that Akro porduced, that type will rarely have any glow. Marble--On!!
  6. Nice tail on that one Gladys, it looks like it wraps all the way around. Marble--On!!
  7. You never disappoint Gladys, great marbles once again! Marble—On!!!
  8. Steph, I worked this one over on my image software pretty well, I can only do so much. A look of the other side would be a great thing. As you can see, it is more transparent than semi-opaque. The background shows through quite well. I cannot call this one but it never hurts to help. Marble--On!!
  9. This post does include “swirls” and I am surprised that more of these have not been posted. This is a Jabo “contract” marble. This one came to me with many names, runs etc, etc attached. Too complicated for me—I just like it. Is there really a “bad” side? These top notch Jabo contract marbles will be out of reach before too long. Get them while you can! Marble—On!!!
  10. I am thinking Vitro on this one Gladys. More opinions are needed of course. Marble--On!!
  11. Submarines are always a topic for debate in the Peltier world. I will defer to the Pelt-Heads here. It is a nice Peltier marble, no doubt. Marble--On!!
  12. Great job folks on all of these--- Great marbles boris64--really, very nice ones. The fourth one (next to the pelt in question) is just---really cool to look at. I agree that the one on the far right looks like it may be a Pelt-----Champion would be my choice in an ID.(I suck at WVS ID) The one in the middle deserves a better look or set of images imho. Marble--On!!
  13. Hi Gladys, I will have to admit that my first impression was Jabo as well. The new set of images reminds me of a Vitro “Buttermilk” configuration. As always, a few more opinions are needed and will always be respected. You sure come up with some great ones Gladys! Marble—On!!
  14. Schmoozer---both are very nice, the first one is the first that I have ever seen---a really great and rare color combo of an Akro Agate marble. Marble—On!!
  15. Not just Sparklers--all killer Sparklers---really, really nice!!
  16. I received these two in a trade with a stalwart of the The Marble Connection; they were both a bonus/add on. I did not expect these two. A very nice red/orange/yellow corkscrew at 9/16’ and a very cool Root beer based, egg-yolk snake at 5/8”. There were four more nice Akro Agates marbles that came in the trade, all unexpected.—I almost wet my pants. (Good thing that I wash them once in awhile) I have traded with a few members of The Marble Connection and I am never disappointed in the outright generosity of the folks that post here. I am so glad that I have built enough trust with the folks on this board that they are willing to do a trade with me. Build trust and post on!! (Be nice, it is not so hard) Trading a few is way better than shelling out cash—the shipping is much cheaper as well. To all of my Internet marble collecting friends and fellow members of “The Marble Connection”, Marble—On!!!
  17. I wish that I could call this one for you Gladys. I know what you mean about the mintish/white color---no clue--sorry. They kindof have a glow to them in the sunlight, very unique. It is a nice one--much better in hand I am sure. Marble--On!!!
  18. Not an Akro Fire. Not a Master either. I just call them like I see them. Foriegn made imho. Marble--On!!
  19. I was searching some slag’s awhile back for a post and I found these. I love the “corn husk” name for these and I search for them. I must have thought at the time that they were MFC marbles. Probably the best, most accurate nickname for a marble—ever. These are both ¾”, beat up and obviously played with. You have to love this stuff---I do. Marble—On!!
  20. This one is a “dug” marble imho. It screams it to me. A Pelt—maybe. Many others for sure. I think that this one may display some opalescent qualities. Double Ingots come in all sizes and I would not say that they are all double pee-wee’s in any case. Cool beans for sure! Marble—On!!
  21. We will have to agree to disagree on this one Ric. They very early machine makers did, no doubt, compete with intent against handmades. I believe that it was a poor Master Glass answer to the Japanese invasion of cat eyes that were flooding the market at that time. Onionskins were a thing of the past imho. Vitro and MK were successful, Master Glass was not. Marble—On!!
  22. Great eye Ric, The blue and white like the OP are the ones that I like the most. The base is very clear and really nice to look at/through. They can be very feathery and well filled. Almost “Sparkler” like with only two colors. I do like the ones that you really have to look at to see if they are a cat or a cleary with a bad streak. It is hard to tell sometimes. Marble--On!!
