  1. I follow the old picker’s way of mind, “if you have never seen it before—buy it”. I cannot find anything on the net about these and I do search like a Fox after a Mouse---days on end. Here is one example of a “Mega Molecule” in original packaging. It is a spinner toy with marbles involved—six of them and I would guess that they are 16mm or close to 5/8”. I am showing my best one imho, the other one that I purchased has a solid, bright orange core which the marbles are connected to with plain-ish Cleary ones plus a “fancy swirl” marble that are enhanced with the shiny chrome looking stuff on the exterior. They both have a chromed/enhanced exterior as a finish with all of the marbles involved. I post this just in case some of you may come across such a thing in your searches. I am sure that most of these have not survived with the original packaging. What a cool package, a Pyramid, why would I open them---tempting though it might be, really tempting I might add, who does not like a spinner? I thank all of you that have supported me through my eye problems as of late, I cannot really sort any marbles yet but I can at least let my camera do the thing that it does---focus! (at least I could handle E-Bay for the last several weeks and I did make some nice scores which I hope to share in the future) I love this stuff---really love it!! Marble—On!!!
  2. In the first image L to R. Vitro, Pelt, Akro with a weak corkscrew pattern, CAC and the one in the bag is an Akro corkscrew. Marble—On!!
  3. Some Milky Oxbloods for comparison. They can be hard to get a good image of. Marble—On!!
  4. I agree--very nice images as well Chris. Marble--On!!
  5. This one looks handgathered to me--could be a MFC. Nice marble! Marble--On!!
  6. Very nice Ric. An ocean of AV and killer colors to boot---love it! Marble—On!!
  7. I punched in a bunch of marble company names. Pretty cool indeed. Thanks.
  8. Here is a link---lol. Good memory Fire! https://travsd.wordpress.com/2015/01/29/on-the-important-cultural-role-played-by-w-c-frito/
  9. This one could be a slag. Akro made them in this color, I believe Peltier did (they do not all feather) and possibly a few others as well. Marble--On!!
  10. Jabo on the orange one The greenish yellow rings no bells for me. Marble--On!!
  11. Well, I will give my 2 cents. This one looks like a Jabo to me. I just call them like I see them. Marble--On!!

Hey Fire, I found three of them like yours and one with blue involved in the same construction method. There is some burnt red in the ones that I have and that is the way that I commonly see these. The big ones are a hair under one inch. These all came from an Akro digger. I have had these for at least 20-25 years. Marble—On!!

This could be a dug Akro. Some tried to pass them off as big Sparklers. I will do some digging myself to find one in the depths of the basement. (I knew I saw one someplace before) Marble--On!!
  14. I would call this one a patch and sort it as a Vitro. The way that the black fades into the white steers me that way. Of course they are always better to ID in hand. I just call them like I see them. Marble--On!!
  15. Someone else did market Carnelians--I think. I just can't grasp it tonight.

Funny thing Fire, My first reaction was "that one looks buffed". Ya just never know do ya, it is a nice big one. Marble--On!!
  17. I will correct me here. The MFC Bricks were called CORNelians by the company. I stand corrected, Thanks Art and Marble--On!!
  18. "Blue Macaw" Fire, these came in different color combos. Marble--On!!
  19. Akro made a Carnelian that glows like the dickens, they were marketed by the Akro company with this name. (as shown above by Chad) There is also one by Akro called Carnelian Oxblood, a collectors name I believe, these have no glow. I believe that MFC marketed bricks as Carnelians, I am not so sure about this one though. It has been awhile since I have seen a box of those. Someone correct me if I am wrong here. Marble—On!!

    Vacor

    "Twister" Fire--nice one. Marble--On!!
  21. I am thinking Vacor on this one, made with some worn out shears. I wish I had a name--not. Marble--On!!
  22. I think that it a Veli Ron. All makers are blessed once in awhile with this green sparkly stuff. I still do not know why--something in the green glass recipe no doubt. The other side would tell the tale for sure. Marble--On!!
