Nice hdesousa, I will keep the search on for another, you just never know! Sometimes things fall right into your lap---after years and years of searching. Early on in this marble collecting madness that I have, with 3 kids and less cash to spend, I saw one at an Antique mall in The Wisconsin Dells, my wife was along and I had to pass at under $200. No regrets, just facts. The search continues---and always will---I love this stuff! Marble--On!!

It is a great looking marble Carowill and I would not restrain it to those two choices. At 3/4" it may be from a few other makers. More opinions are needed as I suck at swirl ID's. Marble--On!!

Party time! Excellent!"

This size is meant to be dropped on toes--the one that squeals the least wins.

This would be my only reason to travel by air again in my life. I do not travel well. Sometimes it may be worth the challenge. Thanks Ric!

It is a very nice rainbo, not a "just a rainbo" imho. Marble-On!!

Books are great, Internet items are a good reference, and old auctions will tell you much. Stick around here and ask questions is always the best option imho, rejection here is almost nil---just be nice as you have always been. What Steph did with "Steph's Study Hall" is a collectors dream find, search and be rewarded.(Thanks again Steph😁) There are folks here that have contributed so much to the world of marble collecting that it may be hard to imagine for anyone with a limited knowledge of the hobby. Do not be shy, just do it, ask it, and of course--- keep asking. We all appreciate a challenge and no one here will know it all. We all will learn from what anyone has to offer at one time or another🦾. And of course---- Marble--On!!!

I have one and I will not give it up for a paltry sum😁. Great book!! Marble--On!!

If you have practiced this hobby/passion long enough you will know what I mean. Sometimes a marble just feels old. This is one of them that rang that bell for me. Egg-yolk yellow on a green/blue transparent base. Keep practicing/researching and you will feel it too! Marble—On!!

I am really getting into these big well covered Vacor marbles, especially the ones with a wave structure to them Here is a “Neptune” at 1.6” that decided on it’s own that it was a”Tidal Wave”. I love this stuff!! There are “no bad marbles” just some that are great and some that are not so great. Collect what you like and of course--- Marble—On!!

My daughter made this for me while she was in High School. Does it get any better than this? I have had it hanging over my desk for almost thirty years. I have been a van Gogh freak forever and would love to see an original someday. Mojo, I would trade places for just a week or so. Van Gogh on!!

Regardlesss of age, you are showing some great MK's here Mojo. Marble--On!!

Vacor Roosters can be tricky. Some are well filled, some are not. They are a red based marble with white swirls but when the white gets close to the surface while still covered with red, it displays as a tan-ish or cinnamon😁 tint. They can almost look like they have three colors sometimes. Marble—On!!

I have not seen a black green and white one before like the one that you show--pretty cool that one. Marble--On!!

Wirepull marbles have a more defined stream in them, this one looks like a slag of some sort to me. Marble--On!!

Is this a single seam marble? It looks like a diaper fold to me. Germans had two seams right? Marble--On!!

I love the gnarley tree fire. We used to have a big maple near wear we lived a few years back that had more gnarl and hollowness than solid wood,"Old Methuselah" we called it, after the famous Bristlecone Pine. Ducks eat marbles, I learn something new everyday. Quack--cough-cough--Quack! Marble--On!!

What happened to my cat and who in the world made it? I am going to call this one a cat-eye because it does resemble a caged cat in construction. The trouble is that it is 1-3/8” so I am thinking that it must be a Vacor, but at just under 30mm it would be right in between two sizes, 25mm and 35mm, that they produce. Someone thought that it was special, they glued it back together. Oogly does not even fit this one; it is probably at the top of the list for ugly in my realm. “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder”.
