  1. One of those really big MFC amber slags would make me smile😁. Marble--On!!
  2. The one on the left may be a Vitro, the one on the right??? The four in the middle may be Akro or Master, this type is hard to separate between the two. Marble—On!!
  3. I marked one in your Peltier row that may be an late Akro.
  4. I have always thought that these "sky blue patches" were Akro Agates--I may be wrong. All opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!

    Here is a Black Akro Ashtray, part of another company’s line of popup cigarettes novelties. I have had this one for some time, the cigs were more like a buck 50 back then---yuck. You can backlight this glass and it will shine through—as black—only black. Akro—On!!
  7. I am not a Vet although I was planning on it in 1973, my senior year in High School (Nixon did something right) but my daughter is a vet. Imagine knowing that your daughter is flying in a helicopter over Iraq during the worst of times. This is a salute to her. Swarovski on!! (she is a Swarovski rep, but still serving our country as well) Salute to you my favorite Daughter!! A Swarovski marble!!
  8. You are a very patient man my marble collecting friend. I love my kids, but ten straight days----after I retired? Marble--On!!
  9. You are about as close as it can get. The last one is just twisted up imho. Good job. All opinions are appreciated. Marble--On!!
  10. Peltier Peanut Butter and Jelly--really? My eye goes right to the white based WVS in all of the images--Just a Killer Marble--lets see some more of that one. What is it--Really? Marble--On!!
  11. Merry Christmas to you all this week. Let’s dedicate some of our best marbles and images to the Veterans that made this year a possibility for us all. This is a simple Akro corkscrew in olive drab and white. These often show some flakes of AV—really just flakes in green that were not mixed well in the batch glass—but I will call it AV because it is so rare in Akro marbles. Rarer still, is my Grandfather on the right with his two brothers who fought in WW1. I know he made it back, Mustard gas and all. He was a “Horse shoe-er”. The other brothers were never spoken of—little was ever spoken about the “Big” war. He coughed a lot and was a great fisherman. Salute!! Marble—On!!
  12. Good stuff--I hope to remember it. Marble--On!
  13. Last one==right #5--maybe I spent too much--not the first time--lol Marble--On!!
  14. Well, I never thought Vacor on these. The "blue version" will have to be posted for an ID. This is why I rarely comment on a WVS ID--I thought Champion😁. Close--same country🙈. Marble--On!!

    Yes, this one has been around and I did not comment as I recall-- But I will now--no Oxblood imho---marble manufacturing pollution. I appreciate all opinions. Marble--On!!
  18. Actually, I believe that these boxes came with less pronounced NLR marbles enclosed--run of the mill so to speak. Just my opinion based on a bunch of research. Why not dress them up a bit? Why not make a most excellant display? Collect what you like and backfill to your desire. Marble-On!!
  19. This what what turned me towards a Ravenswood. Good clue and the size will be respected in the future as well. I will continue to learn until the end--- Thanks and Marble--On!!
  20. That is a Pelt Zebra. Nice marble!!! Marble--On!!

    Good news--lets hope! Marble--On!!
  22. Books? It depends on what you are looking for, these that I mention are good all around starts. There are a lot of great ones and they all are dated--history wise--not so much image wise. My favorite is my last purchase--the Alley book--not cheap but a good investment, it does focus on Alley Marbles. The best for a variety of images, well there are many----- "Marble Mania" by Stanley Block is not too shabby. I like "American Machine Made Marbles" for a good variety of history and images. As always, all opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Marble--On!!
  23. You have to remember that the books generally show the best examples--this one is a good one-really good. Marble--On!!
