  1. This book may be worth the money--just sayin. Make some more? Are they out of print? Marble--On!!
  2. I do take some gambles on the ebay format, most pay off because of the research that I have done over the years. The last image will show why this one was shown one side only, —just an as—made. ¾ inch killer this one is. I scored, a few weeks ago, even without good focus—lol. I am a bottom feeder and I do score---sometimes, the search is always on! Marble—On!!
  3. I know that Fire likes the funky ones—well here you go Fire, Marble—On!!
  4. Hello Scott and a most hardy --- Welcome, This is not a machine made marble. It is a “Modern Contemporary” obviously made by someone in the experimental stage of producing these fine little orbs. Do not get me wrong, the maker is on the right track. The finish is the problem here, the cut-off “nipple” is.; the bubble is not so bad imho. This is a very nice try and a beauty—it just will not cut it, value wise because of the defect. The folks that make/sell these with any success are perfectionists and I mean perfectionists, they sign marbles because of the pride in the workmanship that they all struggle with. This one is just short of the mark, and not signed, we all know why, including the maker. He/She will do better, much better, I am sure. Marble—On!!! And keep coming back with more to show the folks here.
  5. As usual Gladys, you do come up with some real rare ones. Thanks again for sharing what you have found. Marble--On!!
  6. It is a tuff one Jeremysvt. Is this under a full spectrum light? If not step up to one and get better results. Sometimes it will come down to color for an ID. Just based on the separation at the seams, It look like an MK to me. I just call them like I study the image—pretty hard😆. Marble—On!!
  7. I am far from a cat-eye expert--I am still in the study phase of these. According to my study thus far it is a foreign to the USA made, check out Vacor cats as well. They have some clear base glass ones that have been made. Earlier foriegn mades were a bit funky on the clearity of the base glass. Marble--On!!
  8. Nice way to end as well Dave 13---very nice!!---very nice indeed!! Marble--On!!
  9. This one may fool you. It is a Vacor eight finger at 1- 9/16” quite big for well filled cateye. I cannot name it after some thorough research. No chromic finish on this one, just a very nice clear based marble with eight fingers. The first image is backlit. Marble—On!!
  10. Ric, You really have to see them in hand to truely apprecaite them. I will be hunting for these, I only have one but I want more, many more😁. Marble--On!!
  11. I know that I get long winded, just translate it as excitement or pleasure and I am good with that. Here are my best—or favorite for “My Sundays Best” today. Two Vacor de Mexico marbles. I am fortunate enough to have gained the trust of an overseas friend who sent me some of his very best. I cannot call the first one name wise which is 1-11/!6”, a “Toe Breaker”. Vacor Destroyers are described as having a “black opaque base” This one is obviously not opaque, even when held up to sunlight. It is very well covered and a real joy to look at and hold in hand, I could destroy a few things with this one, including toes, it may be a “retired” model of the” Destroyer”. The second one is a Vacor “Leopard” coming in at 7/8”, very well covered and eye candy for me. This model is a marble with a chromic finish which I could not really do justice with in an image. There is just the right amount of shine/chrome/wet on these to make them a beauty in hand. If you have not tried this one on for size I urge you to take a peek, there is not an image that will do them justice. I keep this one on my desk in a holder-it is just a beautiful thing to look at. Well represented/covered Vacor marbles are a great thing to collect in today’s world imho. No different than any other manufacturer’s product past or present, they have the good and the not so good---and the really nice ones as well. They have no doubt made the very best really big ones and I mean really big. Vacor de Mexico is producing the very best machine made marbles, in great bulk, in the world today. Take advantage before the end of another era. Sort these and be rewarded in the future. Marble—On!!
  12. I agree Vacor"Hurricane". These show up in different shades/depth and amount color with anything from a deep opaque white base to the one which is shown which looks almost translucent. One of my favorite Vacors. Marble--On!
  13. My first thought on these was Jabo---really nice Jabo. Marble--On!!
  14. I think that "Vacor Rooster" is a good call on this one, it was my first thought when I saw it. Marble--On!!
  15. Lemonaide Oxbloods or visa versa ---nice find! Marble--On!!
  16. Yes, It could be a Jabo. If I had it in hand of course it would be better to tell. Once you get a few Akro slags and Jabo red colored ones it will come together better for you. Jabo does have some nice red colors that wil fool you. This one is looking pretty busy internally so I will call it a slag--maybe an Akro slag. Marble--On!!
  17. This one could be from any number of WVS companies. Kind of a "run of the mill" and common to find one without much going on except with the nice yellow color. The yellows always catch my eye. Marble--On!!
  18. Patches are never easy and there are a lot of them to sort🙄.
  19. I would sort this one as an Akro Patch. Marble--On!!
  20. They do look like Master Made marbles but size matters, how big are these puppies? Marble--On!1
  21. It is an American made WVS imho. Nice coverage on this one. For some reason when I pick up these deep darker colored ones they seem heavier. Marble--On!!
  22. A lot of work went into this post. Thank you for sharing once again Ron.
  23. Thank you SherryFain for sticking with it. Keep them coming!! Marble--On!!
  24. Sorry folks, I meant #2, I cannot read sideways too well--LOL It has Vacor colors. Marble--On!!
