Welcome back Leigh. This one has a Peltish look to it--a very good choice to get an ID on. Marble--On!!

This one looks familiar. The rest are all just beautiful. Garter snakes in Wisconsin may get to 3 feet or so. There used to be “Corn snakes” that got much bigger but I have not seen one of those for 25-30years. Nice images! Here is one from my vegetable garden in the back yard.

You may have some there my marble collecting friend. Uniques and Heros may cross paths but there are many complete boxes to search on the net in boxes and in books. These may show more of a brown color but they are older images. There are many variations to look at. I would say that you have some Akro Patches there that may fit the description of a “Hero” in the many examples that I have seen. As far as I am concerned—your description is the right one with no translucency involved in the base glass. Marble—On!!

The first two are Vitro machine made marbles imho. The second one is a German handmade that eludes a description from me. @Chad G. will know more about this one for sure. So metal detecting, snake hunting, marble finding--you are very busy. I love all sorts of this stuff. No Getula in my area though--Bigger snakes are rare but cool in my area, mostly Garter snakes which I love to see in the yard. Size always matters. Marble--On!!

This is a weird one Fire. The damage looks like it was "well cooked" and annealed. A keeper for sure. Marble--On!!

I will just add that the term "mushrooms" is new to me and that these colors do show up in Akro patches and corks as well. I like it--Japanese mushrooms--eat em up for sure. I would love to see more of these "mushrooms" if any one has any images or links. Nice marble--Fire

The second set of images are imho –left to right. A possible Peltier” Red Zebra” more images are needed of this one. This one is nice collectable marble and three or four images are needed. Next to it is a Vacor “Fiesta “. The third set of images are a ”Vacor “Volcano” and a Vacor “Picasso”. I am pretty sure of the Vacors. I agree with ann on the first one—nice!! This is the way to do it my marble collecting friend. Sizes also matter. Marble—On!!

Hello GetulaHunter, You will have better success getting these ID'd if you post 3-4 at a time. I looked over the images and they are mixed up a bit which makes it confusing for most of us. King snakes? Marble--On!!

No Name Fire, a cool looking patch type that could be an Akro IMHO. Wierd base glass--is it opal? Marble--On!!

OK, I was close and will step up to the plate. Here is something new to the blurry game—a blurry under UV light. I used one of those cool pocket UV lights that Steph had posted about, glued a plastic marble holder on the top ring and here is the result. Good luck and marble—On!!
