  1. I agree with Vitro on the left. Bullseye?
  2. I would say that the odd shaped one is some sort of mineral/stone.
  3. I think that we can all agree that it is not a Pelt. "burnt sparklers" is a new term to me. I would love to see some. On the op one cutoff looks akro and one looks master. I am looking hard at the base transparent glass, it has a blueish tint that I would expect to see in a master vs an akro. That is my call Master Made. Marble--On!!
  4. Hmmm, these are new to me. I like the way that the red is outlined with a deeper white. Nice patches for sure. I would sort these as Jabo. I just call them like I see them. Marble--On!!
  5. I agree, not Oxblood my friend--Jabo x 3 Here are a few examples of Oxblood in a variety of shades. These are all "bricks" that are loaded with ox, but I think that they will show the difference/variety and what you may look for in the future regarding oxblood. Marble--On!!
  6. I have two that are six years old and several that are older and I always keep some for them to take home---the bigger the better and the harder to swallow. If they ask, they shall recieve. My great grandaughter will be next on the list. They are all a blessing, even after going through two weeks of sickness after Christmas---nothing new. Not covid--just sick. I will do it again. I will never forget my little redhead using a laser light to write his name on one of these. Marble On!!
  7. They are all very nice Ron, I would love to see some more images of the one that I circled---very nice.
  8. Yikes, I wish that I had this one in hand. The damage is what I would expect in an Akro. Not a patch, a corkscrew in my world. Really nice wet finish regardless of any damage.( you can only show one side in a display) A keeper and show stopper! Marble--On!!
  9. I will never see enough of these yellow slags. The best slag ever made imho. Marble--On!!
  10. This is what a simple request to a seller on e-bay may turn out to be. This is my standard request;” “Hello, Thanks for the auction. Please pack these nice and tight so they do not knock around into each other during shipment. Thanks again and have a great day, Art” This is my request for larger lots; Hello, Thanks for the auction. Large lots of marbles can be a bear to safely ship. My suggestion is to separate them into several bunches then wrap these up nice and tight in a freezer bag or bubble wrap and wrap that in packing tape real tight like a mummy so they do not knock around into each other or break loose during shipment. Thanks again, and have a great day, Art I have read a bunch of posts giving grief to sellers who do not pack well. Check the seller’s history and be rewarded. Many sellers do not sell marbles unless they come across them in a lot or estate. They do not know how to treat them. Years back, in my small postal community, there was a watch for marbles rolling around on the floor and ask Art if they are his. It did pay off more than once. I learned my lesson years many ago and always send a shipping request regardless of the seller. I do offer extra for compliance, it has never been an issue with any seller. Some come off as “snippy” as in douh! These are marbles, of course I will pack them with love. Who cares what the seller says—I want them to arrive and not be on the floor of the truck. This seller did a great thing. Rolled them up in Glad Press and Seal. What a great idea! I will copy this idea. It may take some effort to unpack them and clean them, well worth the while imho. These may be more common Master Marbles but they are a back-fillers dream. I am getting what I paid for, thanks to a simple request. I will post the nice big red one someday—it is a Killer marble. Marble—On!!!
  11. I appreciate the post, winter can drag on sometimes. These keep me out of trouble--a little anyhow.
  12. This one looks like an Imperial. I saw a set of these for sale recently. Country of origin was listed on the tag/header cardboard as Taiwan, China, India and at least one other Vietnam? Marble--On!!
  13. Nice group Ric, I love this type of patch. The bit of blue is just one of those things Marbleized. These peerless patches sometimes have a blueish cast to the white part, really not noticeable until you really look under the right light. A very pretty white color imho. Marble--On!!
  14. I agree wtih Ric, check it for opal in the white as well. Acme Realor if it has Av and opal glass. These black on whites can get pretty crazy. I posted an extreme case below. marble--On!!
  15. I will admit that I had to look up "amorphous". I can roll with Jabo. Thanks all.
  16. Sorry you all, This one is an Akro.---love it! I just call them like I see them. Marble--On!!
  17. This is the “wet-ist” marble that I have ever come across. ¾”. No distinct cutoff marks and very--very slightly out of round. It looks like a slag but deep inside it has a purplish color involved. I cannot touch it without leaving a fingerprint, I really mean this---super smooth—super wet. I cannot “shoot it” without a reflection. It is very heavy and very smooth for it’s size, no defects. Very well made and I doubt that it is handmade, a one-off or a contemporary torch made marble. Odd as heck and a joy to handle, a drag to polish and get an image of. Give me your best--- Marble—On!!
  18. I have no clue as to the maker. 9/16” and a nice one to look at. Marble—On!!!
  19. Akro. Nice images! Marble--On!!

    🤔

Slow down folks, CAC made this size and larger--but-- Image 4 and 5 have cut-off marks that I expect to see in a corkscrew. I would like to see better images of the cutoff marks. What does it look like back-lit, many corks dive in and out of the matrix. Marble--On!!
  21. I agree, the one one the right appears to be an "intended" patch. All three are Akro. Marble--On!!
