  1. This one falls into the better than nothing category for sure. I would be proud to own it just as it is. Rare anything is just a hard find. Oh no!! for sure---but I will settle for the "oh well" sometimes. Marble--On!!

Very nice indeed--A really great marble! Marble--On!!
  3. I agree--Akro. Marble--On!!
  4. This one may be an Akro imho. That is the way that I would sort it anyhow. CAC slags are a step above and I always treat them with respect. Marble--On!!
  5. Nice marble, Not a Jabo imho. WVS and an older one. More opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  6. That one is an Akro for sure--Liberty? Dug or broken--it does not matter,---dug imho. Marble--On!!
  7. Swirl vs slag---it is hard to tell. Marble--On!!
  8. Yes Vitro---no name from mešŸ˜. Marble--On!!
  9. I think that I would call this one an Akro---quite swirly but more opinions are needed. Marble--On!!
  10. I have posted this before, but it is worth another shot.
  11. I have a lot of "Sunbursts" but the 5/8" are a hard find for sure. I checked and was bewildered, I can do no better than what you show at 5/8". Live and learn! Nice Box Bill, I would have never guessed that it was that small. Marble--On!!
  12. Here are two that Leroy did for me, I was not aware that he had passed onā€”RIP. He was great at communication and I always trusted his advice, he never pushed it. You can only imagine some of the great marbles that passed through his hands. These are both 1 Ā¾ā€ plus. Marbleā€”On!!
  13. For sure Fire. You are closer to the real deal than I amšŸ¤˜. Marble--On!!
  14. This is my guess---a shooter with 14 marbles. Marble--On!!
  15. I agree that it is a Vitro marble---name wise--no help here. I do think that this one is an earlier version of a Vitro. As always , more opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Nice marble! Marble--On!!
  16. I had the books out, so what the heck. All that I can come up with is"Solid Core". More opinions are needed and respected of course. Nice marble for sure what ever it may be called. Marble--On!!
  17. Here is a ā€œBanded Opaqueā€ at 13/16ā€. I have a lot of books and I had to go back in time to find a name for this one, Grist 1992. If there is another name for this one feel free to say so, live and learn! Marbleā€”On!!
  18. Here are three pretty cool ones. Marbleā€”On!!
  19. This is a tuff one, it almost looks like a cat-eye that disintegrated. (not that I have ever seen such a thing) Marbleā€”On!!
  20. I posted earlier today about some that are being sold as "beach washed"--the same trap for new collectors as any polished machine made may be. I have some saved polished Akros some place in the realm as well. These have never bit me but they have bit some of my loved ones giving them as gifts---it just burns my Donkey. This may turn out to be one of the greatest threads for the uninformed. I urge you all to get involved as I will tomorrow. Post the ones that may have turned you to the dark side of polished machine made marbles. I just hate them--- Really!! Just my humble opinion of course, Marbleā€”On!!
