  14. No--Shamrock--these are collector names--almost of them are when you are collecting marbles. Just for an example--Akro never named any of theirs as "Corkscrews" they had many company names such as "Prizenames" or "Spirals"-etc. never Corkscrews. Cac named some marbles but we do not know them by most of them--Guineas stood up as they should be--a true name by a true marble company. Most of the names that you will meet up with--maybe with the exception of Vitro are described by collectors names. Vitro was a late inclusion into the world of collectable machine made marbles and many kept the original name. Vitro was always the stepchild in the early years of collecting "machine mades". Pelt was the same--Pelt never marketed a Superman or a Super boy or any amount of names--they named their slag’s but never as "Feathered". Many companies marketed boxes that still stand up name wise but when you seperate an Akro marble out of a box of 100 "Prizenames"--it becomes a corkscrew. The WVS or any marbles were never named by the company that sold them with the exeption of Vitro. As an example, the owner named one of the greatest the--- ----well you tell me. Do some research and get back here to tell us some more, and show us what you have. Never be embarrassed here at TheMarbleConnection, you just do your best. Marble--On!!
  15. Antique is over 100 years old--always has been imho. Vintage goes back at least 30 years back to 99 years. The term "Vintage" may also include that which was made and still made--just an older version of the same. You can have some "Vintage" Marble Kings vs newer ones and "Vintage" Vacor marbles vs newer ones and so on. As an example--a Vacor Atmosphere is "Vintage". They quit making them--but they are still out there as such--to be collected. An Akro Cork is no longer made and they are pushing on being antiques--still vintage--most of them at least--they are getting pretty close to being antiques--all but a few. German handmades are all antiques (the real ones), Clays and Chinas, most are antique (there are some fakes out there). Benningtons are all antique. As far as I now now one had the desire to copy "Bennies"--they are still a low dollar but collectable marble imho. I just love-em I hope that this helps to confuse you more--. I have collected many things in my life--but this has been my standard. Marble--On!!
  16. The collectors of this type are getting quite old and I expect to see some more for sale in the not too distant future. If you want to start a collection of these-start low and then wait. I would like to see what @shiroaiko has to say along with @YasudaCollector. Marble--On!!
  17. Here is a big "bullet mold" marble. 1-1/4". Ancient, it has that weird purple look of old glass with a pontil that was not finished. It also has that weird mild glow of an antique marble as shown in the first image vs the second one. Why do we collect such things?? Because they are round--weird but true for many of us. It may have been intended as a coaster for a table leg--my best thought here. My marble buddie--Obi, thinks that I am nuts as well. Marble--On!!
  18. Whats up with the two larger images? It looks like a "Citrus" to me. Marble--On!!
  19. Vitro sounds right to me here. Marble--On!!
  20. I do not know what to call the color--"KILLER" is all that I can say. I have never seen this combo in a more common form, they all seem to be flames in my experience. Nice job with the images!! Marble--On!!
  21. No--you are wrong here Wolf. Never support a bad buy--just suck it up and continue on. Live and learn like all of us have at one time or another. Blame it on yourself or your lack of research. Your Uncle, Brother, Grandpa or Mother will never take the blame--it is up to you! 2026 may be your year--or not. I wish you great luck in the coming year. This Marble Collecting thing would not be easy or everyone would be doing it. You cannot just break in and start. If you want some books--just ask--they are not all accurate but they will give you a starting point. We are all special in this world, all of us!! Happy New Year Everyone!!
