  1. Un---real--It has to be a mineral marble, or "Indian marble" the way that the layers are so rounded. Great images! Great Call Steph! Marble--On!!!
  2. Peltier made some nice big marbles and many of them. Sell what you will but never look back. Peltiers are a great collectable marble---second only to Akro Marble--On!!!

    Helmet?

“Vitro Helmets” are usually clear based with a stripe or “the top of a football helmet” running through the white. You will have to envision a football helmet from the 60’s to get a better idea. If you look at them from the stripe, front to back, you will usually see the little ears that represent the sides of a football helmet. I have posted a few examples. Marble--On
  4. It is a Pelt. Multi colored swirl. Salmon/white. Not so common in the Multi colored swirl world and a nice fine for sure. As a collector of "coral" colored marbles, I like these as an addition to my collection when I find them. Great ID on this one! Marble--On!!
  5. LOL, I have cracked plenty of Geodes open--curiosity kills the cat--let us know what you find. Marble--On!!
  6. Just taking a nap here. I couldn’t help it, this marble just looked like an eye closed to me, and so I played around and flipped it. I do not know which set of images was better so I posted both sets. Blue Oxbloods are real sleepers. They usually need to be lit-up with some form of artificial light to really be revealed. This is my best shot of one yet. This one revealed itself better than most do. Marble—On!!
  7. That is the end game---trying not to be too crazy---a hard task when it comes to marbles Marble--On!!!
  8. I thought that it might be Lapis Lazuli. Many of these came home with our Brave and Women and Men from Iraq and Afghanistan military service. The little chip kind of dispels that. Nice deep blue marble—I like it. Marble—On!! And much respect to those that have and are serving our country!!!!!!!!!!!!
  9. I will weigh in; every marble deserves an opinion or two. At almost one inch I would have to agree on Jabo. It is not a Peltier--for sure. It is not an Alley Agate either. Marble--On!!!!
  10. Thanks Bruce, I knew someone would come through on these. Sorry Billy, Grandmas marbles are not all that good. I do like the corkscrew! No great value in this bunch. Bruce just confirmed what my instincts were on these clay ones. You did come to the right place to get what you asked for. Sometimes the truth hurts but facts are facts, and I am all in with what Bruce has to say. Great images by the way. Marble--On!!!
  11. All are great examples-- suuu-perb images as well---Thanks for sharing them. Marble--On!!!

    Cool find

Bump--I will commit to this being an Akro Popeye gone wild---for now🕓
  13. I also say Vitro Agate. These clear based ones are few and far between in my collection---nice one! Marble--On!!!
  14. A nice group of WV swirls—just don’t ask me what they are---- (I know the yellow ones are Vitro😁) Marble—On!!!
  15. A nice Akro Agate Corkscrew to be sure! Also called Akro "Prizename" Marble--On!!
  16. Top notch Ron, That Vitro gift box is awesome. The Conquerors bag is a nice one as well--great marbles inside of that one. They are all great, lets face it. Thanks for sharing! Marble--On!!
  17. You should always keep your first Pelt. Nice find---My states motto is "Forward". I have always liked "Muddies" Forward--On!!! and Marble--On!!! as well
  18. That is better. I cannot evaluate or ID these for you because "Painted Chinas" are out of my realm. These images will help those that are. Marble--On!!!
  19. Well, this one is still a tough one. The thing that made me do some more research is the presence of two “pull” seams which I have highlighted. These “pulls” or stretches are often seen in Peltiers. Probably just stretches of glass that got rounded into the orb. I did some research and found some “red Bees” that looked awfully close in construction and depth to mine. That being said—it may very well be a Marble-King. They can be very close to each other sometimes. I was probably smarter back when I sorted it into my MK stash, I prefer to think not.🤪 Sometimes you just have to call them like you see them. In-hand is always an advantage over a posted image. Still a nice example of either maker. Marble—On!!!
  20. Vacor "Serpents" come in a variety of colors, brightness and beauty. They have made several runs of these. Marble--On!!!
  21. Well, Grandma had a lot of marbles from Mexico. There may be a few vintage USA made in that bunch as well, no real big money marbles but there is one yellow and blue one that may be an Akro Agate corkscrew in the second set of images. I suggest getting the last images out of the bag and getting some images of them for evaulation. Marble--On!!!
  22. Check this link out. If there are markings, it may be something else. I was refering to the outer chip that is still attached. It appears that some may be on the inner layer as well. https://southwestexplorers.com/what-is-an-indian-marble/ Marble--On!!!

    ID help

Here is a link that shows one similar to yours (scroll down to the size display) that is a Vacor. I could not find an example with a name however. The second link has a nice video that shows some marble making in Mexico. Glassfirma must be a partnership that Vacor belongs to. The website shows a map that includes China as a satellite of the firm. This all being said.; the marble that you show is a big one and my first impression was “Vintage USA” but the size limits that to just a few. The yellow has some depth to it that I do not expect to see from a Vacor, could be a Jabo but I lean towards more of a vintage marble. If it was smaller it could be any of many manufacturers. More input needed for sure. http://www.glasfirma.com/toys/vacor-marbles http://www.glasfirma.com/about-glasfirma Marble—On!!!
  24. This is a cool old marble and it may be some form of multi layered clay, it could be ancient or it could be mineral. It looks like it was fired/glazed and covered again and then fired/glazed once more—kind of an odd thing. The way that the layers are chipped off does look like it has been wrapped in several layers of clay of some sort. I played around with it on my photo editor and I have two questions. The first set of images shows a fissure and I would like to know what it looks like inside of the dark area that I highlighted The second set of images shows what appears to be some form of marking. I highlighted this as well. Nice images! Marble—On!!
  25. Great images and set--This is what we like to see for an ID question. Sorry, no corkscrews here. You will find one-count on it! More input needed on the rest. Marble--On!!!
