  1. Size always matters--it does look like a Vitro---??? Marble--On!!
  2. I agree with Ric. The size is a matter for sure---- This one may be from Europe—it does not strike me as an Asian made marble. It is very cool—I have never seen this one before—or anything like it. Maybe @Mojo can give us a clue here. Marble—On!!
  3. I do not mean to make an issue here Ric. Research what Ron has said on this board---I think that your old pal had it right--right here on the Marble Connection. Marble--On!!
  4. I would like to see some more images of the top middle--- Marble--On!!
  5. We have to research this further. Parrots are Parrots--the smaller ones had a name given to them by collectors--parakeets’—just a smaller version of Parrots. The name “Parrot” was a name given in the shop where they were made by the man who made them. The smaller ones are very rare--but they are still Parrots—with a collector’s nickname. The same color combos and numbers still apply. The OP is a common Vitro imho.—Not a “Parrot”. More like an “All Red” with no red. This is just my opinion based on what I have learned from the best. I appreciate all opinions and hope to see some more. Marble—On!!
  6. This one is an Alley imho--a nice one! Marble--On!!
  7. Show us Chuck G--I do not own one and have not seen one. Marble--On!!
  8. This always happens in my marble room. This is why I alway say----"backlight them all" and "apply UV" as well. (size always matters) These are all clues to the maker--do what you must and do what needs to be done. This one needs more "common" images for an ID from me. Marble--On!!
  9. Blue on blue--find one-- This is a "Great marble" from a great marble collecting friend. Marble on!!!
  10. Seeing as I am the first to post here today--some Akroware. Marble--On!!
  11. We all appreciate you coming here and asking. Marble--On!!
  12. "Varient" works for me Cheese--still a nice one--thanks! Marble--On!!
  13. This is what we all like. Nice marble! Marble--On!!
  14. Nice images Fire---many Jacksons have a glow to them! Marble--On!!
  15. Nor have I. I agree with Ric on the second one. I lean towards Vitro on the first. I appreciate all opinions--this is just mine. Marble--On!!
  16. This is a nice one--not too high on the scale of hybrids--but very high in the scale of coverage. I am jealous for sure!! Nice marble!! Marble—On!!
  17. X2--nice find! (they do come bigger) Marble--On!!
  18. You did find the right place—thanks for showing up and asking—keep the posts coming! We have been down this road before. These are not collectable. There have been many speculations as to the origin of the so called “train track marbles”. The most common explanation is that they were intended to go to a factory that produced “fiberglass”. There were many marbles---millions upon millions that were made for the explicit use of manufacturing in a variety of ways from polishing steel--etc from foundries to to use in the manufacture of fiberglass. The tinkle that you hear when you shake a can of spray paint is a good example. Marble—On my friend and keep coming back.
  19. I have a bent little finger on my left hand from an old high school football injury that hurts when I see an Akro that glows. Marble--On!!
  20. The left one throws me off a bit—at that size and with the green tint—Vacor—I do not know what model or name. It just strikes me as a Vacor. The right hand one is in a different class. Nice bright white glass is involved with this one—perhaps batch glass—or made from a recipe vs cullet glass. CAC? Perhaps—Akro—maybe? The slag is not a Vacor imho. Nice marble!! More opinions are needed here and they are always welcomed. Marble—On!!
