  1. @Chad G. is the go to here and I will call him out on this one. I would guess at a "Josephs Coat" myself--but this is not my area of expertise. Marble--On!!
  2. Finding a cool Vacor in this day and age is--well, pretty cool. I would set this one on the top shelf--nice marble! Marble--On!!
  3. I love you like a brother Mojo--nice response! Marble--On!!
  4. Not UV--not a Vitro but an Akro--imho. If that is green and not UV reaction---I give up for a minute--or two. Marble--On!!
  5. I agree with Jabo—Classic—or a production marble—not a special run. Size? It always matters—the size—if this is a big one it is stellar, most are covered in little white hit marks when they are around the one inch size. Marble—On!!
  6. I agree--cut-marks are not always the thing. Pelt-Rainbo imho. Marble--On!!
  7. I agree--nice finds for sure! Marble--On!!
  8. This is a very nice revival of an older post--I just love this stuff! I will call out @Mojo to add a few here too. Marble--On!!
  9. Soooo---what are the innards like? I suspect that they would just fall apart like sand. Marble--On!!
  10. Your late is better than most on time Chad--nice marble!! Marble--On!!
  11. There are quite a few marble collectors that collect "Paperweights". I do not—I am a hard core Marble collector There are many Contemporary Marble Makers” that make "Paperweights". A lot of the same techniques are used in this process. Glass is glass and most collectors of such have an opinion about “Paper Weights” and I do not blame them—they are beautiful. We are mostly “Marble—Heads” here but we all collect other things as well—I am sure of that. This post deserves a bump up and I hope to see some more of your collection. Paper weights on!!
  12. It may be taken out of context @schmoozer. It may have been misconstrued. I for one, and lets say all of us here; would never suggest that any kid would smoke or drink let alone any adults but I did buy “Popeye Cigarette” candies as a kid with no repercussions from my Parents. My folks also saw no harm in giving a kid a drink of beer---not good—but I was a kid and loved it—toooooo--much. That was back in the 1950’s—thing are more correct now—but still out of wack a tad. I wonder who invented “Candies Cigarettes”? Was it the tobacco companies—well maybe—old school social media? They hooked me for quite awhile; I was about 14 at the start and quit about 40. I do not think that anyone here condones drinking or smoking with children, teens or adults’. Let’s just marble—On!!—and forget that post.
  13. 2 color x every one and what was said is true. Marble--On!!
  14. Bring them on Boris. Nerves of steel here. I have been down and out lately with Sciatica--I will be fixed by the two I's Ibufrofen and Ice and the two others Chiropractor and Time. I wish you the best in recovery. What a drag--my garden is weed infested and TV is getting too boring. I can sit and give my best for a small amount of time and I will give you mine. The first is an Akro Slag. I would love to see the size. The rest are WVS imho. Marble--On!!
  15. Neither imho. This is a nice big Pelt Rainbo—very nice! Marble—On!!
  16. The cut marks on this one are not finished at the ends of the cut as I would expect to see in an early "Vintage American" made marble--Marble King had things like this but this is no Marble King imho. I agree with the Foriegn Idea--it could be from Argentina for all I know about this one--never seen one like it before. Pretty cool find! Marble--On!!
  17. They may both be Pelt "Clear based Rainbos". They may be pre cateye or not--not in my data base today. Marble--On!!
  18. Cool Marble--Champion? I doubt it but Champion is not mentioned enough imho. Marble--On!!
  19. Did I miss the size or am I tripping on Ibuprofen . Marble--On!!
  20. Vacor "Roosters" show up in a variety of shades from dark red base glass to the more traditional red like an Akro-etc slag. Image two looks more like a swirl to me--maybe a WVS. Get your kit together and compare slag colors--some are obvious Vacor--some are not. Slags are not an easy thing imho. Marble--On!!
  21. The first is an Akro Slag and the second looks like it could be as well. You really have to backlight "American Agate" type slags or "Opaque Slags" from all points to make sure that no transparent glass is involved. Slags are a weird animal--the second may just be a WVS IMHO. Marble--On!!
  22. You looked hard at these for sure--so did I. You are on the right track seam wise but a CAC cut-off-mark imho is more definite and I agree with the Akro ID. Nice slag’s for sure! Nice images as well! Marble--On!!
  23. The price on image one is hard to describe. If it is 102—stay away, at least in USA dollars. $10.20 would be all the money for sure. Most of the slag’s appear to be what we as collectors call “Japanese Transitional” types. There is one with a blue base that reminds me of a Vacor “Blue Jay”. The third imge far left with lots of white. There may be a few Akro corks involved but nothing worth more than $10. It is hard to tell looking through the bags. Marble—On!!
  24. It seems to me that I have seen this box with a label attached proclaiming something like "Picture Marbles". I may have seen it in a book or two. It may be a fake--or not. I will research later today if possible--the old back is feeling it today. Marble--On!!
  25. Very cool--Size? I love old beat up bricks. This may be a rare one given the colors. Marble--On!!
