WVMCC is not just about WV swirls but all marble collecting. Sure, they are in WV and the shows are there but they encompass all marbles. They have a newsletter (maybe 3-4 times per year). Their dues are reasonable and it is a way of continuing and preserving marble collecting. The Texas Marble Club is active and they have a couple shows per year as well as a newsletter. The Indiana Club is active with a couple shows. IAMC is on the West coast with a couple shows per year (one coming up in Reno in October). And, as Alan mentioned, the 2-3 days before the show day is the best time to come and learn, meet other collectors, visit, buy, sell and trade. It is a great time to see all kinds of marbles and get helping in ID'ing some of the ?'s marbles that you have.

Japanese transitionals and possibly an American Agate type. -
The Vitro bag would not have had Alleys in it.

Probably the older MK bag, back before MK started making their own marbles.

Looks Vacor - Seahorse maybe.

If you are on FB, go to the DAS, etc. page and then search "Double Decade" and you will see some posts with that run, including a very large group. I think you might find some similar ones there.

OK Charlie, just a reminder - Rainbo, not Rainbow for Peltiers.

Did/Does Mk Make Commemorative sets?
Al Oregon replied to AvvaRae's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
The marbles pictured appear to be the 2000 run where they "mimicked" the older St. Mary's crossthrus. I don't recall any special bags (commemorative or otherwise) that they did at that time but they might have. They have done special bags and bag headers for Wildwood and other events over the years. -
Double ingot in the one bag - don't see too many of those.

"We" usually say to keep the bags unopened as their value is usually greater that way. "Common" bags (value under $10 each or so) could be opened but I would keep the bag, staples and marbles together as "provenance" or just a cool display method. Now, another reason to open might be the condition of the bags. For example, in your first photo, the value of the bags would only be the value of the marbles as the bags are so damaged, they are worthless. So, opening those would seem to be okay (I'd still keep everything together so you know what came from where). The bags in the 2nd and third photos I would keep intact, especially the 2nd as it is unusual and has those cool logo marbles (even if made in the last 30 years or so). Just my thoughts.

Rainbos have quite a variety of "bleeding" and patterns.

Contemporary Handmade - Initials RDH - 1.5"
Al Oregon replied to rockgardenplants's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Robert Hamon and Roy Hicks were the only two names with the RH initials on Steph's contemporary list (from several years ago). I don't collect contemporaries so I do not recognize the marble style. -

I did not count them at the time. I'll try and find the box in my "stuff". I did not code the location with my pic so.... have patience.
