  1. I have the same reflector and the back says, “Mfd. by An__ Story Ft. Mason IA”
  2. All Peltier MCS (multi-colored swirls). They are a nice group!
  3. Vitro on left and Peltier Multi-colored Swirl on right IMHO.
  4. Thanks for helping keep EBAY honest. No one can know everything about marbles, including buyers and sellers. It is good to know that some people still will do the right thing, even if it takes exerting some pressure! Well done Steph!!
  5. Akro but not blue oxblood. Oxblood is a deep rust red with black filaments. Agree with Chad.
  6. I respect your experience, but Ron Shepherd says flame OR swirl ( see AAM July 18, 2022).
  7. Many have flames but like Tommy said, some are more impressive than others. Perfect example is the Peltier Liberty recently discussed.
  8. If it has a UV + green base with black swirls or flames, with no other colors, it’s an Alley Pistachio.
  9. Can you see if it lights up under UV light. Has to be ultraviolet positive to be an Alley Pistachio.
  10. Peltier Cerise we’re hand-gathered slags made around 1925, predating the feathered machine slags. They tend to have a poorly defined “9” and are red slags with a single seam. Identification is very difficult and unless they are found in an original box, can be quite challenging to ID. This marble has a well-defined “9” and I will defer to others but I don’t think you have a Cerise , although it is a great marble!
  11. You are correct that MFC did not make red slags. Agree that it would most likely be a hand-gathered Akro.
  12. All look foreign to me. Imperial on the right IMO.
  13. It’s an evolving science. Marblealan was an excellent authority on marbles, but information changes over time. Don’t be discouraged!
