Sorry $1550 + 18% commission!!
-
A transparent dark blue base guinea sold in a recent Block Marble action for $1150 + 18% commission fee! They aren’t getting any cheaper!
-
What is the base, transparent or translucent or opaque and what color?
-
Outstanding colors with batch glass! Thanks again!

Appreciate your insight!

As always, a grateful “thank you “ for your time and knowledge. From the Ravenswood 2 video I expected the white to be brighter on these marbles. Is this batch or cullet white? Did they produce these R/W/B marbles over many years? Thanks again!

I have read older posts of these marbles here at TMC as well as watched Ravenswood 2 You Tube video and still a little bit confused. These are not a “bone” white cullet and yet the reds are mostly vibrant. It seems to me that these are Ravenswood marbles, but maybe “later” runs. I know Jackson and Champion and Heaton also made R/W/B marbles, but need the experts to weigh in.

Definitely not a Peltier Christmas tree or foreign swirl. Been in my possession for 30 years. -

The green is a blue-green and the red has a purplish bleeding to the edges and there is a thin brown swirl inside the bluish green. -
Thanks

Yes. A Prize Name has two opaque colors that corkscrew.

You are welcome!

There is a great Vitro identification site at Allaboutmarbles.com website under “Marble Identification” and third item down entitled “ Re: Vitro Agate ID Guide by Kevin Roberts.

if a vitro has four colors is it considered a parrot?
Carowill replied to Jeremysvt's topic in Marble I.D.'s
Here are two examples of Parrots, this first is 0.90 and right is 0.72”. Very little white and swirling effect of the veneered patches. -

According to Kevin Roberts, Parrots can be as small as 5/8 but must have 4 colors, not including white, and only very little to no white showing. There are no parakeets. -

I bought the 2 Ravenswood marbles and stopped bidding on the Heatons at $30. Looking forward to the April auction and bidding on CAC flames, especially if unusual colors.
