  1. This looks like a Vitro Easter Egg.
  2. As that was your original intent, might as well continue to enjoy them that way so, enjoy!!
  3. I'm looking at the cut line on the Kokomo and it seems longer and more erratic. The OP has very sharp cutlines.
  4. I am a patch collector to some degree. I'm agreeing. It's just a little beyond the patch to be a Royal. Certainly Royals don't have to be quite symmetrical patches but once they start to bend and twist around, I agree that that pushes it toward the lazy corkscrew. This one starts out as a great patch. so maybe in this case it's an exuberant patch that just decided it wanted to become a corkscrew part way through, But I wouldn't call it a patch. But I wouldn't get rid of it! At least IMO.
  5. Thanks for the photos. #1 still fuzzy. Petlier Rainbo 2 & 3
  6. I'd like to take a guess but I can't see both cut lines on these marbles, or even if there is a second cut line. It seems to be a lot of requests for marble IDs where I'm not able to see both cut lines. Is it me? Have I lost my marbles?
  7. Hmmm. I see nothing evil in this marble, so if you have concerns, please send it to me for your peace of mind.
  8. Always fantastic info, Ron. Thanks.
  9. It's difficult to ID marbles when you can't see the cut lines so am not able to even hazard a guess. I would recommend photographing them one at a time. It's easier to control the picture taking process of rotating the marble to get the 4 sides.
  10. I don't see the same colors in the Grandpa's site marble as in the OP. I agree Grandpa's is orange and not red, to my eye. I'm also not seeing any tan. Sounds like it is incorrectly labeled on his site.
  11. You can always use the test forum which is available at the bottom of the main directory to test for uploads, image quality tests and things of that nature.
  12. Oh, the great Egyptian craze after the opening of King Tut's tomb in 1922!! Awesome!!! And how lucky for them; they were in Cairo, West Virginia! Perfect. I have some other household items with the same Egyptian craze graphics and names. Associating coffee with Egypt, a pyramid? Too cool!!
  13. Agree on all those! One additional thing that I learned is what happens when you're too good. Or more accurately, better than everybody else. You get ostracized. No one would play with us (my brother and me) as time went on because we became the best around. Now we have no idea how we got that good. That's just the way it was. But good parenting gave us the skills to have pride but not be arrogant, of not having it affect us.
  14. That's a super great description. I think you're right on the money with that!
  15. Me, too. I'm just getting up from my nap after reading just part of it. They were using rags in the paper mix to keep it from shrinking after being printed but that didn't work so then they stop doing it after a while and then. Oh my gosh!! I just think that article needs someone who knows how to write and edit!!!
  16. Part of a map of the Hidden Treasures of the Nights Templer!
