  1. Agree MK, more correctly, MK Rainbow. It's Peltier Rainbo. 😀 This one was one of the first things I had drummed into my head. that pesky "w"!
  2. I have found a number of references to aluminoid, to where I can get exact dates. One in reference to pots and pans for industrial use 1898 and one for use on replaceable nibs on fountain pens, 1915 (that magazine was dubbed culturally significant and reproductions were made and is available on Amazon!!). The cookware looks like it's unfinished aluminum and the fountain pens look like they have had brass plating put on them. I have found other references to brass plating aluminum to ensure that they remain rust proof. And steam engines and light machinery! Thought this might be interesting! Looks like aluminoid was around for quite a number of years.
  3. Looks like like a interesting Vitro patch to to me or some variation on a Half Helmet.
  4. Thanks for checking. looks similar to Akro patches that I have but the seams are very close together.
  5. Those are pretty good detailed shots, nice job. Some sort of handmade marble? Foreign? I'll be very interested to see when others might have to say.
  6. I'm only recently trying to make an attempt to identify these but I have noticed that when it's MCF, I go WOW! When it is Akro, I go "Hey, that's really nice!!" With this one I'm saying, "Hey, that's really nice!!"
  7. Those are some awesome marbles. Love the oxbloods, of course!!
  8. Agree Alley #1 but don't see the 4 tips needed these days for Flame. #2. Is that translucent? Maybe Akro Patch. #3 Those seams are very interesting. Need sharper photo. Looking handmade.
  9. That is some deep knowledge, guys ❗
  10. I actually got to Akro hand gathered slag on my own, so I'm pleased. And because I like the white, it must be a character flaw in me, too! Ah, just throw it on the pile...
  11. I just think it's amazing that two different streams of glass combine, get sliced off and then spin around in a device to make these great designs!
  12. I was getting Jabo as I scrolled down.
  13. I read this post and immediately got up, went and made breakfast, with bacon!!
  14. No garden would can be complete without.. one of our eight legged friends. Towering almost frightening Grandpa Ott Morning Glories! And at their feet, evidence of another Monarch caterpillar!!
