  1. I don’t want to get off subject too much but I think, as everyone will agree wholeheartedly agree that every characteristic about a marble helps identify it. Like the tic marks found on Jabo, corkscrews on Akro, the 9 and tail on a MF Christiansen and certainly colors are a big giveaway. I’m still stuck on that “cold roll” look that leaves the swirled lines in the surface. I have some clear .790 marbles that have those lines in and have been told they are industrial marbles. Obviously they were not too concerned about quality but quantity. Is this a common occurrence or were some manufacturers known for letting these get by. I agree after looking at some Vitro Blackies, especially the blue ones that’s probably what it is. Chad G said that Vitros Quality control was excellent. Maybe I have a rare Vitro “flawed Blackie “Marble. $$ 😂😂…… NOT!! I love this stuff.

    No idea

I think I’ve looked at 10, 000marbles today with no luck. Heck I can’t even guess what the color it is. I’ve tried caramel, egg yolk. buttermilk, lemon drop. baby poop yellow, cheese and some I can’t remember. I’m out of ideas.
  3. I’ve been lookin all afternoon trying to ID a few marbles. Been reading too. Came across a description of a “Jackson” marble. Now I know these are very rare but they did say that sometimes they showed a corkscrew design. The cut/seam line is seen on Christensen marbles and I did see one on the West Virginia club site. They got a lot of pictures of marbles. The other thing that gets me is the “cold roll” look. How many marble companies had that, or is that something that happened sometimes. I have several marbles that have that cold roll look.
  4. Alley swirl/ flicker ??
  5. Looks good enough to eat. IMG_9352.mov
  6. Maybe Marble King “Spider Man”. ??
  7. Awesome marble. I’m getting somewhat better. Several months ago the only marble I could positively ID was maybe a cat eye. 😂
  8. If it is a Peltier Zebra , it a burnt Zebra.
  9. Fire1981, Ive found some really close examples on Joesmarbles page. Here’s a Heaton and Cairo swirls. Alley looks good to but the Heaton is my guess. Either way my opinion is a West Virginia swirl. Great looking Marbles
  10. I’ve found some marbles on Alan’s marbles and a Peltier page that are close but it looks like a mix between a “Poison bee” / “Hybrid Rainbow”. “Poison Rainbow”. That a nice lookin marble what ever it is.
  11. By the way this is my marble. Another one I’ve been trying to ID. There’s an incredible amount of information in the archives.
  12. Chad G. Identified this back in 2020. I found it in the archives. Champion Red Cloud. Love it.
  13. These are cool marbles. One reason is that I can somewhat identify them. 😁 By the way this is one of the many great marbles I got from Bumble Bee for Christmas. “ I got all the Marbles” 🎉. Very nice UV pop too.
  14. I don’t think is a “Hot Wheel” or “Furnace”. Wished it was a “Red brick” or even an Alley “Flicker”. I’m thinking it an early Burnt Orange Jabo Sunburst swirl but I can’t find that signature Jabo fold/crease line. What I’m I leaving out.
  15. Oh ok. Is is not good to post pics of examples for reference. If so my bad
  16. I love to research and investigate these marbles, well anything really. Like it’s been said before, “The thrill of the Hunt” is what makes this fun. I told my son, who collects too we could always call it a snauger. 😁
  17. Boris64, I’m calling on Joesmarbles again. This is a Cairo marble which is-line with Akroorka. West Virginia swirl. That’s just my opinion. Beautiful marble. I love that caramel color.
  18. Fire1981, here is an other example 🤷🏻. Maybe Peltier?
