  1. Me and the son are going back and forth whether or not this red fades to Black or is it just dark dark red? It is definitely red on the edges but the closer you get to the middle it’s dark. Is the such a thing as a Superman/Indian blanket hybrid? Definitely a cool Marble.
  2. Fire1981, We could have been brothers. We also had worms but they was in the garage outside. We did night crawlers but we didn't dig them we caught them at night. The best time was after a rain shower. You could always wet the lawn with a garden hose right before dark but that made the grass grow and that job didn't pay nothing. They would come out to eat and do other things, cause you could catch two at a time alot. The local bait shop would give us .05 cents apiece. Not a lot but 200 was $10.00 bucks. That was more than we made mowing grass. We also seined crawdads for $8.00 bucks a gallon and that was the money maker. We could fill a gallon milk jug in no time. We also did shad guts in glass mayonnaise jars for a while. One year we accidentally left a jar in moms trunk during the summer. It would have been fine if the jar hadn't broke. It took us a forever to get the smell out of mom's car. Peroxide finally made it tolerable. We did all kinds of stuff to make money back then. We even picked up aluminum cans and cut fire wood. I use to know how many cans it would take to buy a bike. Never did get enough cans that one summer but I got close. I wouldn't trade those days for anything. We didn't have much but we were rich.
  3. Caterpillar, would you call that an Akro Onyx ?
  4. I was trying to think of “hit marks” but I couldn’t think of it at the time. Old timers disease has set in. Bout the time I was writing that the dog wanted it out. I guarantee you he’s full of flea bites. 😂😂
  5. I’m assuming by the size .970 and several flee bites this is a JABO. And like most of them this is a beautify. Would it have a cool name. Just wondering. Kind of looks like a caramel frappe float. LOL
  6. Darn, I was hoping to be the first. 😜
  7. I’m assuming the ones on the farthest left and right ?
  8. Ok I come across this Marble and started doing research. I found an article in the archives back June of 2021. I don’t think there was really a decision of what it was. Peltier or CAC. I did find a thread (not on Marble Connection) that showed a marble similar to this with a very light blue streak or whisp as this one does. I hope you can see it. It was called CAC. Any opinions ?
  9. I think I finally found a match. The color really helped. What do you think? Yes, no, maybe ? thanks
  10. I’m going to try to pick out one of these tomorrow. I know they are a little hard to see. Tough decision.
  11. I sure hope so. At least a discount.LOL
  12. At first I thought this was a Champion furnace but further inspection I think it might be an Akro Onyx slag. It does have a little UV pop and it’s clear base. Thanks
  13. This game kinda clears up my curiosity about the shape of some marbles. Even if you missed the bullseye you would still hit the METAL frame. Shooting at other marbles you were hitting an object that was the same size and weight. This thing didn’t move. LOL. My dad said some times he and his friends could hit marbles so hard you couldn’t find them especially if you were playing close to grass. My dad is gone now and Ive talked to some of his childhood buddies about marbles and they said you didn’t want to play with Ray, he’d clean you out every time. Love ya Dad.
  14. While sitting with my neighbor yesterday evening we got to talking about marbles. She said she had some 👀. I was very interested because she is 92 years old. She dug out a box and a homemade board game and said this is a ParCheesy board. As we talked about it I looked it up. “PACHISI”, ok, there it is. No R in the pronunciation. To me it’s like the game SORRY. Her husband made the board 50 years ago for their kids. She had some St. Mary’s cat eyes and these Bumblebees. Very cool.
  15. I fell bad for the fellow who has them. He has had them for years and always thought they were authentic. Our area had a really bad flood in 2011 and he lost a lot. Somehow these were spared and one of his family members found these and other things that was rescued and put away. In the past 3 months he has lost his wife, a son and a niece. I think I’ll hold off for a while before I tell him. Thanks all. Good learning experience for me.
  16. A fellow in my hometown showed me these earlier today. Just wonder what you all thought about them. I have been informed and educated about what to look for. I did post these on Peltier Tuesday.
