  1. I feel good about my ID as Jabo. I am getting better at them. Nice marble.
  2. Thank you kindly people! I think you're right. Not a terribly valuable marble but I like it anyway. Not so much to overpay anyway.
  3. It is the two tone, tan and bone colored shooter on the left with the inverted V shaped marking. It just looks like an older marble and it looks like a good one to me. The two just to the right of it look good too. It is part of a lot I might buy. Not my image, I can't post better pictures. Thank you for your help.
  4. From what I have found, there are perhaps some pee wees, 5/8", 3/4" and 1" experimental runs and that's about all I know of Jabos. I have a few 7/8", 9/10" and a 1 1/8" marble that sure do look like Jabo. Is this possible? Might I have something odd here? I can find some very similar examples in runs that strongly resemble these but all in this picture remain unidentified. Here's a group picture, All sizes I mention and those in question are found in this picture. Thank you!
  5. UPDATED for this week There are some bags of marbles in this auction which I don't own and have exceeded my bidding budget already, I have consigned a number of Akro Agate glassware and UV reactive floor lamps. Also a neat smoking stand that matches a floor lamp consigned with an auctioneer here. I suppose they are marble related. I will be listing stuff for many weeks here on this venue. Thank you for allowing the post. Unfortunately if you want shipping, you may have to ask the auctioneer. You would have to register on hibid as well to bid. 6. Ariellie09 what an exciting bunch of marbles! Thanks for posting.
  7. Post your “Here’s To Steph Marbles” She loves Cats Eyes🔥 Don't have many but if it'll make ya happy, here's my lowly five shooters.
  8. Then here is the latest Jabo's. These are about 5/8, I think the AV green swirls are slightly smaller than the other more colorful 9. Mary's pics My images
  9. It wasn't too long ago that these rolled off the marble making machine. I would have to guess these were some of the last of Dave McCullough' s runs. Thee are quite nice and they are probably a tad over 3/4 inch in diameter. This is Marble Mary's image a little re-worked and the other image is mine after I opened the pkg today with my other classic Jabo additions.
  10. Learning about marbles is endless and for me it is moving along slowly but surely. Bedsides reading a lot here, I learned quite a bit from watching Stephen Bahr on YouTube. They are super educational, great photography and are even sometime quite amusing here and there. There are pretty many videos but I look forward to even more. Here is a link. https://www.youtube.com/@stephenbahrmarbles
  11. Best wishes. You have been very helpful to me numerous times with my posts. I am not here for that long but I know that you not only read my posts, you put thought into them and everyone else's as well. I think you will do quite well as Moderator! Congrats!
  12. I collected coins for 45 years or so. Just hung it up and these keepers are locked in a safe. My last active venture was chasing ancients. Most are silver Greek and Roman coins and a Shipwreck 8 Reale coin. I know what they are but the info is on a spreadsheet. Just eye candy for you I hope. Here's a collage of what I have in that dept.
  13. This is my "short set" of Jefferson Nickels I assembled out of my uncirculated duplicates after coming across the big lucite coin holder from Capital Plastics. All the business strikes, no proofs or varieties (1938 to 1964 D). After this picture, I put a nice 1965 nickel in that last hole. My (other) real set is in graded slabs and capsules in several binders and boxes. That is a very complete set and actually, I won't have enough time in my life to take detailed pictures of them all to properly share. That set has all the variety nickels listed in the "Red Book" and a number of others in high grade mint state and nearly all have full steps. I have every proof. I even have the 1971 No S proof. I also have the complete set of business strike Buffalo Nickels. Yes, I have a 3 legged Buffalo, but ignored the 1918 over 17 and doubled die 1916. That set is also slabbed and graded or in capsules in a binder. Some are high grade unc and others are circulated. That's why I am The Nickel Guy I guess.
  14. You guys deserve a big hand! LOL Yikes! AI doesn't do hands well.
  15. Sad to hear. I would re-walk that path and look for it, those are beautiful. Where do you get those?
  16. There is something mesmerizing about it. I like the second, 4th and last picture.
  17. I got two lots, One batch is 12 mibs to make a little box of 3/4 " Jabo Friendship examples from Mar 2009. My picture . . . Another view with images used with permission from MrsMopar. And here's a Variety of 15 Jabo's from 2010 which range up to slightly over 1 inch. I'm not quite sure which various runs these are from but that's OK. I like em! My picture . . . And all the rest of these images are used with permission from MrsMopar. Thanks! Some close shots of some of the individuals found in the second "Variety Lot".
  18. In my mind I could see a Hen on a Nest from either samples from Boyd's too. Haven't thought of Boyd's in many years but i used to sell antiques and could tell you back then who made what. LOL Man how time flew!
  19. Thank you! Brockway is not too far away from me in PA. Out there off I-80 on the Pittsburgh half of the state. I think I remember picking these up at a yard sale 30 years ago.
  20. I've had these laying around for years. The small one is clear deep ruby in color. It just looks like an oversized glass bead. Might just be a sample of something. The other two are marked with the same incuse letter B on the one side. I thought maybe they were samples of glassware from a town or factory that had a name that began with the letter B. I just thought maybe I should ask. Ya never know. Thanks
  21. While rearranging my collection last night . . . again I pulled these and put them on my solitaire game board for a pose. They went to the small showcase afterwards. Many may be quite common but they are still some of my favorites. I am always particularly drawn to those deep brown and white ones with a bit of purple highlighting. They show in the square of 9 in forefront. They always grab me. The one in the center looks like a bird in flight to me.
  22. Not in hand . . . yet May not chase the lot they are in. Already getting too high for me.
