Omgosh Steph. So after collecting Akro marbles for years, I just purchased my first Akro box a couple weeks ago, and was going to start looking here to find out what kind of marbles were actually in the box as sold. From the pictures here, it looks like these marbles match your photos, especially Alan's! Here are the marbles from my No, 32 carton:

Steph, you're amazing! Such a wealth of information, we are lucky to have you ❤️ -Jess

I think I've heard them called by both names, is that right? And if anyone has any more examples, I'd love to see them! Thanks! -Jess

Love love love this. Fascinating! -Jess -
I'm here Steph! Sorry I've been away for so long. I do have a few transparent Snakes, one Red (the one on the far right in the photo below), one Orange, and a transparent Green Spiral but on a translucent glass (with the thinnest blue stripe)

One of these is definitely on my list of 'Someday'

Thank you both! That translucent green-based one and the third one both have some pretty good damage, but they're so unique, they're in my keeper box

WOW! Some fantastic marbles here 😍
-
Absolutely! Endless variety, that is my favorite characteristic about Akro. These are all technically Orange and Green, but they're different from each other: -Jess

I have very few Master marbles, but here are my two favorite: A 1" Metallic and a brushed patch with Oxblood -Jess

Adding to the list, another difficult Prize Name to find is a Blue / Green

Always love seeing and sharing new marbles. Here are my new Akros I've added recently to my collection: 1. A UV reactive Popeye 2. A Green and true Black cork 3. A Blue and Gray cork on a translucent base 4. A UV reactive transparent Brown cork Would love to see more of everyone' s newer marbles! -Jess

That Purple one is amazing! I don't collect very much Master, I have a few. I LOVE that Purple though, wow! I sure hope you find it too. -Jess

This is a fantastic thread! Great marbles and awesome photography. I've collected almost strictly Akro and Orange is my favorite, here are my top ten: 1. Transparent Orange Spiral 2. Yellow and White on Blue 3. Four color cork 4. Brown, Black, and White cork 5. Periwinkle Blue on translucent base 6. Yellow and White on a very dark Blue transparent base 7. Coral cork on a Blue translucent base 8. My favorite Orange Spiral 9. A smokey Orange on a translucent base 10. My favorite Orange and Yellow shooter.

This is the closest I have to that one from the Ad, it has more White than the Ad, but the Orange is bifurcated. 5/8" -Jess

I'm here! Was checking in, I've been away from here for awhile, I must have heard you Steph hahaha! I just looked through all the photos on this post, and how could I compare, so many good ones, Al has quite a few in his photos. Off the top of my head I would say difficult for me to find: Green / Yellow Green / Lavender Blue / Blue Yellow / White Those are tough for me to find. I see I have a lot of catching up to do!

I believe these are All Reds (?) Like the patterns on these, especially the bottom left one, looks like a snake's eye to me.

I love when you bring this photo out, I haven't seen it in a few years! It makes feel all nostalgic about marbles again.

Gorgeous marble, I love those layers of brown, but I get a pretty strong Vitro vibe from this one.
