  1. I'm pretty sure it is,it is almost brown, but it sure acts like oxblood. The sun is tricky, it's only 45 here and it feels VERY cold!
  2. Just thought I'd share a few of my new acquisitions, since it's a nice sunny day
  3. Just the tiniest tiniest bit along one side of the green, but then i might just be staring at it too hard lol Moss Agate it is! Thank you
  4. Hello everyone, I think I might have a green Akro Ace, but wanted to get some further opinions on it. I tried to do some research in the past topics, and it seems this is quite a debated topic, and I apologize before hand if I cause any uproar, but I am very curious. I found the historical Akro advertisments someone posted with the basic colors of Aces, but this is the first green one I've come across. 5/8" Thanks
  5. I like the first group because you can see the inner structure of the snake, and I just like the color combinations in the second pic. I'm not sure if the last one is really an Akro, but that's the pile it's in Thanks for sharing everyone, I'm gonna have to pick my jaw up off the keyboard.
  6. Wow!! I haven't been on in awhile, and I think my eyeballs have popped out of my head!! What an awesome thread!! I love seeing the different color combinations, here are a few of my favorites, enjoy
  7. ?? Kind of a rude comment . . . .
  8. I think an auger is a color based marble with (typically) a white snake. I need a second display case, that's for sure
  9. Here's my crazy cat, she likes to watch me sort through my marbles. She'll sit there and watch me for hours, until I can't figure out who is watching who, then I quit, lol. The first picture, I caught her in mid-stretch and yawn. She won Ms. October for it, in a fundraiser calendar for one of the pet shelters here in Jacksonville, I was such a proud parent,
  10. Can't ever get enough corks, love 'em
  11. Wow! Great mibs, especially those MK's, those are beautiful
  12. I voted John, that is too cool!! I hope I get to see the car at Talladega, I bought my boyfriend tickets for his birthday (I'll tell him to vote also)
  13. I think we might have two from the same run of yellow and black . . .
  14. Wow!! Those are gorgeous!! I need to get a good light source, those are great pics, thanks for sharing
  15. Woo Hoo! This made my weekend They came in a group of about 30, but these three really caught my eye. I really like the contrast of the red white and black marble and I think these are my only black and yellow corkscrews, if anyone has any with these colors, I'd love to see them Thanks for looking -Jess
  16. Cool Cats I'll have to start looking for cross throughs now. I used overcast skies with my bay windows for that pic, lol.
  17. Well, I just got really depressed, they were profiling rich people in America, and the "kid" who started Facebook is worth four billion, and he's 23 years old. Now why didn't I think of something like that?
  18. Well, after hours of searching through catseyes in the last couple days, I have a new healthy respect for them, and I have a new love - hybrid cats, these really are beautiful marbles. I have really only collected Akro for the last six years, but I might swing a little towards these for a bit. Not the best picture, I usually like to use sunlight, but we have a storm blowing through north Florida for the next day and a half, oh well. Anybody have any hybrids they'd like to share? -Jess
  19. It's funny, my whole family, including my great uncle, is on Facebook, great way to keep up with family. I was really surprised to see my uncle come on "friend request" he's 76 years old now I chat with my parents on Facebook mostly and play Bejeweled. If you haven't played that, don't start, it's very addicting, lol. -Jess
  20. Thank you for your responses guys I looked and looked but could not find it, I was hoping someone had maybe saved the list we made. It was probably about five or six years ago now, I didn't realize it had been that long. I do remember that the white cross-throughs were the more prevalent. I've just decided to finally tackle my Catseye jar, and it's big, a little intimidating actually, and didn't know where to start. -Jess (btw - cool avatar Pinx - is that a '79?)
  21. Hello everyone, A long time ago someone started a discussion / poll on rarity of color combinations for Catseyes, I was wondering if anyone still has that list, or might have an idea where I could start looking for it? I remember it being quite a collabrative effort. I have looked through the archives and used the search function, but have no idea what the topic was called. Thank you -Jess
  22. Thanks so much for everyone's input I did find another in the group, a yellow and green -Jess
  23. Hello everyone, I was wondering if I might get some help with ID'ing these, I think they're Atmospheres, but I wanted to get some more input. They are about an inch in size - Thanks!! -Jess
