  1. And there are many many mistakes in many marble books.
  2. Here are 2 sizes I believe are same run marbles as the both have the 2 small line by the color stripe and that doesn't seem like something that would carry on from day to day.
  3. Having observed marbles being made, and watching and helping guys try and get a corkscrew pattern I really see no way a 9 and tail would be possible with a simple gob feeder set up. I also think the marble machines to Japan story were never backed up with any proof.
  4. As Ron says you pretty much need a set of rollers for all different marble sizes, It would be tough to get nice round 5/8" marbles on a 3/4" set of rollers. I believe some companies had the ability to move different size rollers under the gob feeder in a fairly timely manner as I have some CAC swirls that are obviously same run but some are 5/8- and others are 3/4+

    Agates

Is that a Registered, Copyright?? type mark in front of the word Agate in the ad or just a goober
  7. Sweetest smelling snow I have ever seen
  8. Looks like patches Winnie posted
  9. Yep shoot towards each other trying to get them to stay in the center and shoot the other guys out of the center is how I think it went
  10. Or CAC or Peltier but it looks mostly Akro to me also.
  11. I always wondered why Akro gave the patches the Moss Agate name as they hardly fit the bill IMO. Must have been the base glass??

    Agates

I have always had a fondness for the ring veterans
  13. Mon, Where is the Flim Flaming going on??? No one that currently has any of these marbles and selling them is making a profit IMO. (lots of folks have taken a huge loss in selling theirs the in last few years. There haven't been any brought out it quite some time that were part of the original find (or manufacture) for those that think they are new. So there isn't anyone that I know of currently making money selling these things. As for my original posts I have changed my mind After years of studying them I have leaned way toward the side that they are Old, Again I have no proof so that is why I say "I believe". Maybe someday I will think in another way but for now "I believe they are old" Thats all no big deal and I certainly have no want to keep rehashing the subject. Maybe in another 10 years we can do it all over again. I paid 20,000 for the last CAC collection I bought and it contained quite a few of these marbles. If I did not believe they were real and vintage I probably wouldn't have made the purchase. I probably could not sell any of them for a profit. I like them. Thats all, and am just trying to enjoy them for their beauty. You continue on and on like there is some big conspiracy going on. There just isn't anything more than some folks that think they are real and some that do not. At this point in time it seems the ones that believe they are real have more to go with than those that do not IMO. I can't believe I keep letting myself get sucked back in here. (LOL)
  14. At this point in time I do not think the CAC R&Ts are handgathered at all. They are a 2 seam marble with a weird twist and a fold but thats all it is IMO. Chris Rs marbles were a neat representation but I never thought they were a real accurate representation oa real good CAC R&T. Could be cause I didn't like the repros at that time, and really still don't
  15. Nothing posted on this thread or any of the many related threads is going to have any effect at all on how the CACs get traded and bought and sold at any of the next shows I go to, on ebay or any other auctions IMO
  16. More of a moss agate than any ade type IMO. Pretty marble for sure.
  17. You can also find 2 seam CACc with the fold. Gives them that 3 seam look
  18. Dug up with a backhoe is what I believe. Thats it no more, I have only said that how many times(LOL)
  19. I have also told all I can other than the names of the folks I talked to and those I will not post publicly (I only remember a couple) . Brian E doesn't have a problem discussing how he got his. Give him a call.
