  1. I have heard they came from the Italiano glass makers
  2. Wade, here is the one with the CACs
  3. Hard to tell but the fourth pic gives it up as Vitro. The yellow bleeding makes it look like a Pelt flip flop. Very cool!
  4. There are several resizing programs that become part of windows once downloaded all you have to do is right click on a picture click resize then click small or medium. http://imageresizer.codeplex.com/ 10 seconds
  5. Very nice and rare, unless someone happens to have some of the clear ones a certain glass artist encased in colored glass!
  6. I was wondering when someone was going to say something(LOL) Got no issues with the classics, other than most were junk. But there were actually a few nice ones. not a whole lot but a few. Those are all peewees in the window. I also have a bunch more from different years and even some of the old Marble Mansion boxed sets but don't tell anyone, Okay?(LOL)
  7. Super heavy sounds about right! It is certainly not moving with out removing all of the drawers. Now I need to organize and line a few of the drawers. Here are some.
  8. $4000 dollar marble and a camera that will not focus(LOL)
  9. Andrea, there are different makers or types in each drawer. no real rhyme or reason Master Agates Pinchers Chinese Handmades Peltier machine made slags Vitros Cat eyes Handgathered types Jabo Classics WV swirls German Machine mades Oxbloods German Handmades Patches The secret revealed. These are to be my next art carving project. They just seemed to belong close to the marbles until I get around to cutting them up with the dremel. http://www.etsy.com/shop/theNestatWindyCorner
  10. Those dirt rolling booger eating kids never get sick in later life. Yes I typed that and am sober. MRSA and most incurable diseases are the direct results of the strongest organisms being the only ones that survive and multiply when too much anti this and that are used. That why hospitals are such breeding grounds for some of the worst infections. And this has to be the furthest off topic I have ever seen a thread go(LOL) Now we could keep going with bad grammer comments(RROTFL)
  11. Need to manufacture a few metal pulls for the drawers and it will be completed. Once I got the bottom drawer open I found the original pulls in side. It now slides fine.
  12. it is just a 2 dollar West Virginia swirl if you ask me(LOL)
  13. As a general statement not directed at anyone in particular. If you don't care who you do business with go ahead and support the nut case. Personally I would never need a marble that bad and am sorry that some think they do, and do not care. Kinda sad actually. One of the most disgusting statements I here people use is, He never did anything to me.
  14. Sami, I do not believe the grandmother ever actually bought marbles
  15. Just shows what a disgusting human being he truly is. Nothing funny at all about his very bigoted reply!!!!!! At least he did not try to say some kid was doing it for him. Or blame it on Grandma.
  16. I sure do not. I have no idea what adventurine is. But then your probably just bringing up a pet peeve
  17. I sold a bunch of those in Canton, but this is bacon done in bacon
  18. I agree about the backing being part of an onionskin. And it would be on the back of each the four cores in the marble I showed. I think it was just easier for the maker to gather more clear then yellow or white and then the threads on a punty already with the glob of glass left over from the previous made marble. Done over and over before cleaning the punty many different onionskins form the core of the next. This would not be done on smaller cane cut types.
  19. certainly nothing like a Caligraphy. Just look who the seller is. That will explain a lot.
  20. Actually there are sometimes several cores that are from other color onionskins. These are not the back ground white etc that is usually layered with the color stripes or blotches of an onion skin. I believe they are remnants on the punty from the previous marble(s) made.
  21. Many do not have that inner core. Some have several.
  22. In the day of mass produced cane cut marbles for games and play I wonder if they really considered themselves artists? More like production workers. These things were were made as fast as possible for never ending hour after hour. I believe some special effort was put into many of the larger meant for decoration type marbles but not the under an 1 1/2" toys.
  23. I have seen 4 original vintage cane cut vintage marbles that were actually made from where one cane had been added to another to keep production moving and the marbles consist of two two distinct cane types.
