  1. The type of these are swirls. There were swirls in the other group. Every US machine made marble company old or current made some marbles that glow under black light. These are very common white base and red WV Swirls.
  2. Alley - maybe CAC - maybe a cork - Alley Every US company that made machine made marbles, made some that glow under blacklight. Old and new made last month marbles can glow under black light.
  3. Every machine made marble company made a few mistake double ingots. Every machine made marble company made marbles that glow under black light. Heaton Triple ingot. The original marble in question is either Alley or Jabo swirl ? No double ingot.
  4. Probably Heaton. If the dirty white glowed it would have been a rare Davis Marble Works. Maybe next time.

    2 WVS

Is the second one the 3/4 inch, a Jabo from the run that had Franks Alley ?
  6. I think your guess may be a good one.

    WVS

    With free shipping ??????????
  9. I agree your marble is not like the one Danny Turner sold or a CAC Red Devil. I have had 3 or 4 CAC Red Devil's in my hands. Your marble is not CAC. All the CAC Red Devils I have seen showed definite cut lines. No Red Devil that I know of were hand gathered or showed signs of hand gathered, which is the 9 twist like your marble has.
  10. Oxblood can be inside any marble. Many Jabos have oxblood in the center, or twisted throughout the marble. Oxblood is only or always on the surface is another wrong old myth.
  11. Very rare to find any CAC with a small amount of oxblood. I have never seen a CAC with this much oxblood.

    Superman

The simplest way that I now of: Any company and all companies that made them. Spiderman = Blue base and red Super Boy= Blue base and orange Superman = Blue base with red and yellow
  14. Any Green Fizz that I buy will for sure have to glow.
  15. There are no large marbles over 3/4 inch made by Ravenswood Novelty.
  16. We are all learning here. No book can describe or picture all the marbles produced. If so it would weigh a 1000lbs. No single tool will cover all learning to collecting or identifying marbles. Use multiple sources for learning. Not all will be 100% correct. Use more than one then you decided what you feel is correct. No marble book is 100% correct for many different reasons. But the books are much needed. I have been collecting 25-30 years and have never got all my questions answered to my satisfaction. So ask and ask. Another tool is attend a marble show. Nothing compares to seeing and having the actual marbles in hand, in person. Plus every dealer that I know will be willing to answer questions or find someone who might be able to. If you try, it is possible that you can learn as much at one show in three days, as you can from a book in a year. You will see and learn many things at a show that are in no book. It takes effort and lots of time as you have discovered. But marbles have many different rewards .
