  1. I would guess Akro patch. Not Peltier, MK, Vitro, Master,Kokomo. What is left?
  2. I have never seen that bright pink-purple with blue on any Ravenswood. What size is it? The pattern looks more Alley.
  3. There were several marbles dug over 4-5 acres at Akro for over twenty years. Some under concrete, Some under blacktop, some in drain pipes, ln buried trash, etc. Same as with many different sites. No way to get a accurate id for most marbles without true colors and size. If a id is what you want?
  4. Could the last one be from Imperial ?
  5. There are other ways to frost or rough up the surface of marbles, other than a rock tumbler. They look frosted because they are not smooth, Acid may do it ? Saltwater and time will do it. A three head polishing machine will do it but one at a time.
  6. I see a nice older hard to find sought after four color Vitro Tri Lite. If a Tiger Eye. what type or number is it 1-2-3 or 4 ?
  7. The most common and well known MK marble. The one marble which I knew the name of when I was a kid.

    Pee Wee

Looks Alley here. I have never seen this color combo for a Alley pee wee. At 9/16 yes but not pee wee.

    Newbie

Bottom left is also a Alley from St.Marys.
  10. Look at several of the post made here, Many times more than one view or side of the marble needs to be seen for a accurate id. if the cut lines show they can help with some identifications.
  11. Good question ? Anxious to see the answers.
  12. Two Alleys with roll marks. No pontils.
  13. I agree the CAC has been worked on.
  14. Do not see these often any longer. Now you need the Sammy's aventurine. The Sammy's aventurine and Jim's oxblood's were the beginning of the investor special runs in 2008.
  15. Sooner or later, it will break the marbles. Rock tumblers have been tried by thousands the last 30+ years. The end results were always broken marbles. No matter what material was used. Either it never changed the marbles much or it broke them. I post this every six months or more often on a couple chat boards . But people are still trying to use a rock tumbler to polish glass marbles. It either is a waste of electric and time or you have broken marbles.
