kbobam
Sounds like you've 'been there and back'! What's up with the toast? And is that some kind of bacon on the top? Going to jump across two ponds now (Dang it! Would have been easier the other way!) and show you one of my pseudo-Asian creations. This is normal sausage meat with garlic and onions. A little ginger is an alternating option. Fish sauce, chili pepper, and lime juice finish the deal. With a few peanuts on the top, which are pretty good whether you cook them in or add them at the last minute. ( :

kbobam
So here's the latest Dollar-Tree blog-like thing! Virginia sausages from the Williams company. These are some fat honking sausages, and really good. Look how red they are! You know they're going to kill you, so they have to be great! Cook them over moderate heat for a long time and they'll get a nice 'snap' to the casing. The snap is a crucial thing, and also why New York hot dogs are so good even though they really aren't. They'll also halfway explode at some point, which makes for a more dramatic presentation. Next is some parmesan cheese. This is another terrific bargain, since it's tasty and your name-brands of this product are so ridiculously expensive that you might as well go all the way and get a hunk of real cheese and grate it yourself. Let's face it. What most of us think of as parmesan cheese is a seriously processed 'product'. But it's perfect with certain dishes, and I certainly like having it around, but don't want to be ripped off. Please make note of the size. Sometimes Dollar Tree offers larger sizes of another brand. Not worth it. Wishing you happy eating, belching, and a noisy word, Bob

Well, a lot of soy sauce after cooking is done, but a little soy sauce while cooking. Takes a bit of effort to get the peanut butter to spread through the whole dish and not clump but I like. Mixed it with a coupla eggs today and poured that over frying cabbage. Some people joke about peanut butter omelettes. I'm serious about it. kbobam
I'm betting you love Thai food! (Assuming that the 'naughty tee-hee' smiley can also double as a 'yum' one.)
kbobam
Watching a 'Brit-com', and 'prawn crisps' were mentioned. Thought that was kind of interesting, since I've never heard anyone at the deli asking for shrimp flavored chips with their sandwich. Although in the Baltimore-Annapolis area 'Old Bay' is popular. Did a little research and it looks like it's a traditional British flavor, along with a few other neat ones we don't often see in the States. ( : If anyone wants to share their favorite chip flavor, I'll start off with malt vinegar. That goes for fries too. First time I tried that I abandoned ketchup forever. stacyw
Ketchup flavored chips are big in the UK also. I think the Brits were a little ahead of us in oddly flavored chips (crisps) area. Right with you on the vinegar flavor Kbob - my favorite too.
kbobam
Ha! I hadn't gone past the opening page earlier. They do have a 'Tomato Ketchup' flavor! Also 'Worcester Sauce', and 'Canadian Ham'. They all sound pretty good really. Not sure about that 'Beefy' flavor, though. Putting meat and potatoes together is just a little bit too preposterous. kbobam
After reading this response, I decided to take a break and let my subconscious figure out how to reply. While doing so, I watched today's recording of 'Gilmore Girls' and this magic moment in time happened. I think it's a perfect visual addition to the previous post. kbobam
Here's the stuff which leads me to the conclusion that Steph is a Secret Siamese Satay fiend! (I am too.) For those who aren't familiar, satay is a Thai dish which is basically 'meat on a stick'. So far so good, right? But it comes with a warm thick peanut sauce that's out of this world. You definitely 'dip'. The stuff on the side is cucumber and onion pieces which are soaked in vinegar. It's highly recommended that you skewer at least a piece of each along with your meat, which is generally available in pork, chicken, and beef varieties. Although this dish is considered an 'appetizer' when part of a proper meal, Thai people also appreciate the idea of making a meal out of many many appetizers. This is a beautiful thing. But if you take this approach, it will be assumed that your table also wants the double-sized bottles of Thai beer to keep on coming. As I said, a beautiful thing. Pretty sure that if you like beer you'll agree with me that theirs is among the finest in the world. Making myself hungry and thirsty so will stop now. kbobam
If I haven't been misinformed, Sonic has a summer-long milkshake deal. Half-price after 8:00 P.M. And a bunch of new flavors. I've never had a strawberry cheesecake milkshake and am kind of psyched. Also like the idea of something to do at the end of a long hot lazy Summer day. Right when you're feeling a little bad about being permanently connected to the couch, you can say "Hey! Let's get milkshakes!" Everyone will love you, and when you go to bed that night you'll know you accomplished something!
Ric
Normally, I'm pretty reserved . . . vanilla or chocolate; strawberry if I'm really feeling crazy. But pineapple seems like it might be pretty good. Are you getting paid for this? lol. I'll nab one tomorrow on my way home and report back . . . kbobam
For me, chocolate is more adventurous than it might sound. There just seem to be so many variations on what chocolate ice cream should taste like. Some of them are great, and some are awful. Other flavors don't seem to vary so much. P.S. Does anyone really think that the cookie part of an Oreo tastes like chocolate? ( :

kbobam
So what I'm sort of thinking here is that Kellogg's hired the guy from Coca-Cola who suggested they change the formula. I have a suggestion for him. Why don't you give these waffles to your kids, tell them how they don't need syrup, and see what happens?
