Steph
For us non-handmade-collectors, what makes it an oddity?
ann
The red surface threads. They're usually white or yellow.
aleecee
Can't be 100% sure from the pix, but it looks like a divided core with english colors. I think the red caged lines might make it a it more valuable as they are not as common.

I'llhavethat1
Looks like a nicely crafted vintage marble. The even spacing/grouping of the outer lines and the bright colors give it some pizzazz
Stefan
I am recently bought a caged divided core with orange-red surface threads. Its the first one to my collection and i think they are not that common. I will take pictures when it arrives
manylittle
I'm putting my vote in with old German hand made, made for the English market.
ann
Yes, old -- just in good shape. Every now and then you find one with great glass. But they were still using white to back the transparent blue and lime(?) green, so I'm not sure it would fit in the English colors timeframe. Whatever that is. I'm pretty flexible there. And it's nice and bright -- just not opaque. Can't tell if the red ribbon, which is also backed in white, is actually opaque red over white (maybe?) or transparent. Doesn't look transparent, and the surface lines lines certainly aren't backed in white. What does the bottom pontil look like? Regular? I like it.
