Sparkler vs Sunburst

My eyes are bleeding after checking this one out.
My heart tells me it is a Sparkler; my eyes say it is a Sunburst.
This is one that is splitting hairs but that is why we do what we do here.
All opinions are welcomed and needed.

Geh. Looks too light for a Sunburst, but not enough color variation for a Sparkler, by a lot.

Given those two things, and the "pointed-ness" of the poles, I`d guess it`s a French (Biot) or at least Euro sparkler. They`re often very light like this.

Yeah, not Sunset for sure.  I was thinking Euro Sparkler, so pointy pointy pointy pointy.  But I don't know enough about them to go there initially.

I`ve been fortunate enough to luck into some great Euros over the years, some directly from French, English, and German collectors.  So that`s my best guess. Yep, pointy pointy!

Many of the French ones in particular resemble Akro Sparklers in construction, if not color, although a few are occasionally more colorful than this - usually with a streak of red.

Cool.  That is very good fortune.  This was fun!!!  Kind of felt like you and I were just standing on the sidewalk talking about it, passing the marble back and forth!

Whee!

I always love it when it`s about something I actually know about and have a fair bunch in my collection!

Encourages me when I sit here staring at a void in my somewhat eccentric collection, and knowing I will never try to fill that void . . . as we all do, I like what I like! Too old to waste time being otherwise, at this point!

Glad you enjoy these exchanges too!

Who does not enjoy them?
I never even thought about a foreign maker.
That is why we ask—especially when locked in like a bird dog to one or the other.
Is it a Pheasant or a Quail, the bird dog does not care, he/she just knows that it is a bird and that you want it flushed out. Ok it may be a Woodcock—love it either way.
I have not hunted in years but I sure miss my bird dogs—one mind, one effort—a very pleasing meld of minds.
Kind of like us here-------

Yes. I`ve never hunted, but I rode horses pretty seriously for a while (over fences and basic dressage) and I know exactly the kind of species-to-species partnership you`re talking about. Nothing quite like it. Or like here.

Wish I could post some of mine - just not up to it yet.The French ones are all different sizes, most not to 1 inch, and have clear glass, very few if any bubbles, and construction like Akro.

The ones Tommy posted above are very like my French ones, although with more color than usual. Nice ones, Tommy!
