Chad G.
Yes, an authentic mineral agate Heavier than a glass marble and colder to the touch than glass, maybe faceted or machinemade, I can't tell from the pix
Fire1981
Hand faceted for sure. Real deal all the way. I can see little ding marks at 5:00 in the first pic! You’re kill’n it 🔥

Fire1981
I haven’t seen a faceted bead before. If you can snag that one do it. Doesn’t matter if it’s a bead or not🔥

But maybe someone tried to make a bead?
Fire1981
Hole or not it looks like a great agate. The Pelt at 6:00 is what catches my eye. I hope you can post that one. Right now I don’t think it’s a common color combo 🔥
Fire1981
The Cork at 9:00 might be a Silver Oxblood. It sure looks like it to me🔥
chicagocyclist
The single hole could represent a single mounting point like on a ring or a pendant. They didn't always enclose them in the holding metal.

jhomer2172
Those “marks” at five o’clock don’t look like facets but imperfections in the material. You need to examine it with a loupe to see the facets if there are any. They proceeded glass by about 100 years, beginning around mid 1700s and marbles mid 1800s. Effectively stopped around WWI about the time glass was picking up. This one is a very nice banded agate with more than usual banding. Don’t know about the hole but have seen them drilled to hang from a necklace.

I'llhavethat1
The agate could have been part of a watch fob, letter opener etc. Probably not intended to be a marble with the hole drilled, but whatever. Still round.
