VaMarbles
We have this Akro Agate bag which I believe is from a 200 tin box? I’ve attached pictures from, American Machine Made Marbles, book. Can anyone confirm this bag belongs in a 200 tin? The original Akro advertisement in black and white is a little hard to see. Thanks
Ric
I could see it - looking at the right edge of the bag, I may detect a fold line, which would make it fit. But @akroorka Is the go to person around here for Akro bag questions. I'll bet he'll have some thoughts.

akroorka
The Akro “Tin boxes” are the only boxes where these pouches were originally found, the #150 and the #200. The Pouches were folded to fit either one. These tins also came with a black “Plasticized” pouch along with a few other designs, earlier I think but still pretty cool. I do not remember seeing a #150 tin with a knee pad but the #200 did come with a “knee pad” some times. These knee pads are marked on the inside of the pad with the same Akro logo as your Pouch. ( hard to find---rare!--very costley) These tins also came with a set of “Ringer (the game) instructions” along with a mail in card that I cannot for the life of me remember what it was for—rare stuff there—I never pursued them. Back in the day these "Tins" could be ordered with a “custom” pouch that included the name and city of the folks that ordered them. Usually a “give away” at a grain mill , in my experience—some like the rare one that I have included a car dealership. Anyone could “custom order” the boxes with a custom named/printed pouch; they were usually smaller than the pouch in question. I will post a few of my favorites below. I scan the box top and place it in the cover just for show. Funny—I may have never posted these before—well--- I do not like to brag—just collect—enough said. The second image is what the first box started out as. It takes some effort and a little bit of cash but you can bring these baby's back to life. I just love doing this stuff! It was old, the poutch is old--the city is small--maybe a new start is needed? Marble--On!!

VaMarbles
Anyone have any thoughts on this bag? Maker? Seems generic to us
Ric
I'm thinking it's likely generic too. The Native American motif was very common on marble bags back in the day. Back when lots of families took road trips for summer vacations, you could find generic marble bags of one type or another at nearly every souvenir shop. And I recall those shops were very common. Manufacturers would often use the exact same graphics on different types of bags too, so it wouldn't surprise me to see this particular graphic on other bags as well.
Fire1981
So Art ! You've asked how we feel about you being a new Monitor. Your post about the Tin Box bags was pretty vague and really didn't shed much light on the topic. I expected a lot more out of you on this one🔥 RAR🤪🤪🤪

The little balls on the end of the strings--very cool and old as well. You could have found this one at "Wall Drug" quite a few years back. I just love this stuff. Marble--On!!
