Marble--On!!

Thank you.  I had the same reaction to some degree as noted - but I am still looking at something else (not the exterior colors).  I could be wrong given how light plays through transparent glass.

I hope that in the future you find one that just lights you up-with memories over the years in the future.

I have several of these--not too many but really good memories.

My wife gifted me marbles for a birthday present about 25 years ago. These were from a show and they included "Polished Popeyes".
This was the one and only show that she attended--probably because of my comment when I received them.

"These are Polished"--Oops--just a reaction🤢. I did not even need a loupe—just old bloodshot eyes.

I have been on a rant about Polished Machine Mades ever since👎
I just hate them because they are rarely described as such-very rarely imho.

From Inkspotsantiques.com:

This is a great looking 3-color Akro Agate Popeye marble in Vaseline glass. It is 0.61 inches, or just under the standard 5/8 inch player size. The colors are an unusual combination of yellow, green and brown, and are too distinct to be a blend. It is in wet mint condition, and under a loop there is an air bubble dimple and lots of little bubbles in the glass, but no damage whatsoever, so it grades a mint 10.0. Includes a Popeye ID card.

This marble was from a collection I bought a long while ago from an old time collector, and there were no obvious polished marbles in the collection that I recall. I sold most of these marbles on ebay, and saved the best of the best as a type collection that I displayed in a glass case. A few years back I decided to sell these, and this marble is one that I put aside.

That is what I was referring to.  Folks get so focused on the surface that they don't see the matrix.  Nice piece.

Sorry, the correct URL is InkspotAntiques.com

Looks like they sell multiple types of antiques.
