The Nickel Guy Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 12:08 AM This one falls right through a 1/2 inch hole so it qualifies as a pee wee. Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy. It is a bit sharper than shown. This one was also in question elsewhere like the other three I posted here in Marble I.D. land tonight but this way is better with images of all sides. Vitro? if so what type? Do I smell a bit of that Vitro gravy? Thanks, you guys and gals rock!
Fire1981 Posted yesterday at 07:40 AM Report Share Posted yesterday at 07:40 AM It’s Vitro. I think it’s a variation of a Tiger Eye. We’ll see if that sticks🔥 RAR
William
Almost thought an MK at first glance, but it could be a Vitro as well...
Ric
It's an unusual marble and a nice peewee too, IMO. And I am pretty confident it is not a Vitro. IMO, the colors aren't as they were intended and they're laid on the marble in a weird way too. But if you imagine that thin light brown color is as it should be (even though it's probably not), and the thicker red/brown ribbon is supposed to be the same as the nice orange one, you would see a flip-flopped light brown / blue / orange Peltier Rainbo. No doubt, this would be way easier to explain if we were sitting somewhere looking at this marble together, which is just another reason that marble shows are, hands-down, the best venue for learning about marbles. 🙂 And just FYI, that little mess of light brown showing on the top of the marble in the larger pic goes to the left side of that seam. This sort of thing is very common on Plets. 1

Well explained Ric....I was more against it being a Vitro as well, but couldn't rule it out as it is a unique marble for sure...MK was me reaching, otherwise was stumped....Pelt? Now that is a cool ID that you tossed into the ring for sure. I like that thought... A great marble any way ya slice it!

The Nickel Guy
I am going with Peltier even though I don't see it. The only Marble Show I might get to again is the NJ one in the Spring. I really liked that day. I will be taking some marbles along for an education. I wish I could sit down and talk marbles in person with a lot of you people. These earthlings just don't understand. Thanks EVERYONE so much.

This is the key as far as I am concerned--a Peewee. These marbles never act the same as the larger 5/8" marbles which were the more common sized ones. Some of our old "retired" friends did not think that Vitro ever made peewees. I agree and would ask you all to consider Akro here—just in respect. Fire1981
I’m out with Vitro. This is constructed like a MCR. Possibly a Tweener. There are 4 orange ribbons on one side of the seam in these pics. I think the base glass is orange. It’s not a patch. Then there’s a blue and brown ribbon. NLR have 4-6 ribbon configurations. It’s not a Rainbo🔥 RAR
Fire1981
The brown mirrors the orange’s construction 🔥 RAR
The Nickel Guy
This is a tough one. The jury is still out. I think I should take some really good pictures in the daylight tomorrow (Sunday) and post them. I very much appreciate all the attention this one got. Hope we all learn something.
