I heard she was involved in some kinda sting operation in Zurich about a week ago. She was going to meet some movie director for a screen test. I don't think he'll be shoot'n that movie. I wonder if she sells marbles in Zurich ??? Packers vs. Vikings Monday Night Football !!!! I'll be gril'ln some elk steaks !!! FARVE.......THE MAN....in purple !!!

David I see that this thread has now allowed you to post what YOU are ALL about. 1200 views....I'm sure you are happy with that. Too bad all 1200 didn't respond. Would you stand up in front of 1200 marble collectors and present them with the issues YOU have with good ol' IMHO. At this point....I believe you would. I see that you enjoy talking about yourself and your reputation. Having seeing your name attached to the pics I have in my books. If by chance I spend any time looking at these books I have...when I see your name NOW ??? Your reputation will definetly come to mind. You need a new gig. You're hit'n rock bottom here.

Hey Mig ! Pretty kewl stuff....3,4 and 5 !!! I like the way you've twisted outta you're new roll !!! My exclamations points are an expression of my admiration I have for Mig's work. This would be because I work with paint. So it's very easy for me to see the artist talents that are required when working with and in mediums that change states. Plus...a keyboard is just a keyboard made outta plastic. So the exclamations point is the only KEY I have when it comes to responding without emicons and other STUFF ! Mig.....those are BOMBER !!! I simply had to RESPOND !

I have 3-4 Pelts that came from the site that might be of interest when talking about the feathering in slags..... which I call "Gill Plates". Which refers to the visual one gets when they look under the Gill Plate on a FISH !!! The actual Gills under the Gill Plate are what I think represents the pattern most call "feathering" The 3-4 Pelts I have are just transparent baseglass. 3 are Red and 1 is Powder Blue. They are all 3/4 inch. When back lit. One can see that the glass flow pattern is the same as the Pelt Slags that most know. The best one is Powder Blue. The same Powder Blue Baseglass as the slags. There just isn't any WHITE. The Gill Plates are there. They are just a different "shade" of Powder Blue....a lighter shade. B.T. would be the only person I know who could get a good pic of this one. The other 3....same deal. I gave one of these to GUY !!! So......I would tend to believe Pelt was gonna crack out some 3/4 inch Slags with these baseglasses....they just hadn't added the WHITE.(?) Also......which rollers did they use to make the 3/4 incher I have ???

Help Alan! Needs A Peltier Name.
FIRE81 replied to manddrakes's topic in General Marble & Glass Chat
I think this is a Pelt and should sit next to one of the CopperHeads. As hard as the CopperHeads are to find. This one (Alan's) looks like it could be similiar....but it's just "washed out". Very funky Rainbo ! -
Del had lunch with Liz Taylor today !!! Liz was the one who got MJ interested in marbles. Del said Liz Taylor's eyes REALLY are purple !

What Do You Think About These '' Fancy Benningtons '' ?
FIRE81 replied to Steph's topic in Steph's Study Hall
Do a side by side and break them. Check the actual "make-up" of the clay(s) that's being used. Another question would be what type of glazes are being used. Technical work....but if "these" are being questioned. One might as well put them "under the microscope." Why not ??? RAR -
This topic has come quite often over the last 6 years. Are "people" looking for $100.00+ marbles hoping to score for less then $50.00 ??? Are people wanting 20-50 variations of e.g. Pop-Eyes to choose from ??? Or are "you" looking for that rare marble that has never been listed ??? Just curious RAR

CAC Slags and Clays. I'm sure Hansel would be the best source to answer all of the questions in this thread. I'm stick'n with the "old back stocked #0 CAC boxes being provide for Albright's Jobber Boxes". If any open widow CAC Favorite Jobber Box with an Albright label shows up....I think that would make for a stronger connection between the two. I could see a "cross the table" swap. CAC got Albright Clays for their Favorite Boxes. CAC gave Albright OLD #0 Boxes and Slags to put together their own Jobbers. Again.....the CAC swirls weren't in the CAC Favorite Jobber Boxes. I doubt they gave those to Albright. I still think the CAC's in the auction are to hype the auction in hopes of getting more BUCK for the BOX ! If it was mine......I would have filled it with Clays and Slags. Better chances for provance....more realistic. ETHICS vs. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Note: What are the "RAINBO" marbles that are listed in the Albright Ad ??? Response #8 RAR
-
From what I've read.....I doubt the "Cheapest Glass Agates" offered meant that CAC Opaque Swirls where in these boxes. "Cheapest" would be an offer for those who couldn't afford CAC Opaques in a box...just makes more sense. A couple cheap glass agates and some clays instead of a big bag of clays. I would think the glass agates were common WV Swirls. Actually the listing says "may not be original to box". Easiest way to cover their butt. RAR
-
I wouldn't think that CAC was offering Opaque Swirls to Albright to fill jobber boxes.......since the box was "meant" to be cheap. Note: Auction listing at least provided info that verifies the marbles aren't the originals. No one had verified that yet in this thread. RAR
