Scoop ! I had these 2 pieces with me when I was at one of the Art Fairs....asking about prices. The $250.00 " DUDE " just laughed when I told him if these 2 pieces were actually a MARBLE. I could get about $300.00 for it. (Guess'n on a 3/4 GB.) He just laughed.....I just walked !!! RAR

I've been try'n to figure out what to do with those pieces ???? I ran these passed few local Silver/Goldsmiths here in Tucson. Cheapest rate for getting the GB set as a medallion in SILVER was $250.00....... It's still in the 25 plastic box cases....with the other half pieces. They look great.....from the TOP !!!! Yeah...........what is THAT GREEN AND RED ONE........... RAR

Best shot I got of a White Cat. 2 side lights....the PenLight it's sitting on. And CardBoard ( from a notepad ) placed about 6 inches behind the marble. Best SHOT outta of about 25 or more shots. I know this is about catch'n aventurine. But that Red only showed up when shot with the Set-Up I ended up using. If I moved that marble just to the right or left...the RED would just look like a "DARK SPOT" Black Blackgound.......nope......Outside.......nope. The Green Bananas with the aventurine DOWN between " FINGERS "..........I gave up on those. It's EASY to SEE........just gotta send a few to B.T. RAR

Terry ! My "TAKE" on these Pelts with these SEAMS must have taken place AFTER Pelt started to TRY to produce the NLRs that have the Swirl Patterns vs. the OFF-SET Ribbon Configurations. These Blue/White Rainbos don't show up later as an establish Blue/White NLR. My stuff......excluding the Blue/Red and Yellow Marble would seem to have been the Experimentals. Why would Pelt use there Higher Quality Glass and Aventurine vs. the readly available glass they had been making the Rainbos with.....until they were getting the results they wanted I would guess...that your Golden Rebel comes after these Pelts. They eventually would have had to TRY these Machines and Glass formulas to see if these would work as well. Wouldn't the Yellow Baseglass ...Red and Aventurine show that YOURS does come from what I believe Pelt was doing ???? Slowly merging into a HEAVIER load of each COLOR / NLR GLASS and Aventurine ? LOL.........I was HOPING to find some NLRS like yours. Which now that I've done my own PELTOLOGY I'm retracting my " NLR.................??? " from my first response. I think as a young PELTHEAD that's going to happen TO ME....TIME AND TIME again. The " TIME LINE " on your's.....Sami said it........" GORGEOUS PELT....thinks it's very old " I take it.....it's one of your " KEEPERS "...........!!!! ???? The PIC at the BOTTOM !!!! The SEAM looks like the SEAM I've found on most of the STUFF I got that's from the OTTAWA DIRT ! NLR............???? RAR

tnbar..............!!! I know my pics suck ! But the AKRO EYES that saw mine......said it was an EARLY AKRO CORKSCREW. I don't SPEAK for them....but I sure TRUST THEM !!! And because of that I feel I can compare your marble to mine and say they are VERY SIMILIAR. Your's is much more active than mine. But the fact that mine has 2 ribbons. One is Light Blue...the other is Cream Colored. Both Ribbons are Opaque and the baseglass is Transparent Amber/Brown. PRICE...??? Depends on who want's it...and just how much they " HAVE TO HAVE IT "......right ??? If someone wants to buy mine. They are buying an Early 1 inch Akro Corkscrew that is lightly buffed. I'm not "PLUGGING" my marble !!! I'm just stating and establishing what the marble IS if it were to be sold. AND YES....MINE BUGGED THE HELL OUTTA ME UNTIL I WAS TOLD WHAT IT WAS ! RAR

Andrea.......is your's close enough to Alan's from his thread that your's MIGHT be from the same run ? The PIC of your's on the left is why I'm asking. One other question : When the box sets where put together...were those usually all from the same run ? Or would that have been just too hard to control due to the production rate and maybe some other factors ? RAR

I just found out I have 2.....so if I only have 2 and the rest of you have 100-800....I'm gonna use this one in this thread ! RAR

SHORT VERSION AND WHAT HISTORY I KNOW ! 2001...Boyce Lundstrom bought the Pelt Glass Company. I THINK he re-assembled the Machine and got the Kiln goin'. On 1-7-02....the MARBLES started to roll. Most have White and Blue Filaments on Clear Baseglass. I have a SET. 2 Shooters and 20 5/8th marbles in a Blue Velvet Bag. Included is a card with most of the info I mentioned above. The RUN lasted a DAY. * I think MY Shooters are FILLERS...One White and One Blue BANANA CAT....no "Stringy Filaments....plus I bet the set had 25 of the small ones * Second Run.......same thing. More variation like Terry and Kris have. I'm not sure what YEAR those where made. Mig gave me me some from the 2nd run. Kind as always....plus HE was there during the Second Run. RAR

I have Vitros that have a SEAM/CUT LINE that runs 12:00- 6:00 on one side. And 3:00-9:00 on the other. I only find this "pattern" on Vitro Du-Lites...Tri-Lites and Superiors. If my discription doesn't make sense. Just point one of your INDEX fingers straight up ( Like T.R. did in his picture ) And then cross your other INDEX finger across the other one so they looks like this ( + ). Anyone else have any marbles like this ??? Any GUESS or THEORY on how this happened or what caused this ? The matrix in these marbles don't have any radical twists or swirls that would " CATCH YOUR EYE " and lead one to think these were rejects or errors. Of course I've been looking for these when this TOPIC was posted and can't find them. THEIR JUST WEIRD............ I had to place one finger nail on one of these seams and chase the other seam down and place my other finger nail on that one just to verify that what I was looking at.............was what I just tried to described. Is the picture of the HOUSE on the label.....a picture of the house that was in the 1934 Worlds Fair that was built using M.M. marbles ???? Does anyone know what happened to that HOUSE after the Fair ??? I just re-read the fine print on the label. So forget the first question. RAR
