  1. Blue one is probably a Japanese transitional. Your one photo looks like it has the required pinch-pontil. Not sure of ages.
  2. Yeah. Whether it is Christensen Agate or M.F. Christensen it's 100 years old. And to change my mind one more time. Both yours and mine are probably M.F. Christensen.
  3. Or maybe Christensen Agate. Here's a couple of mine
  4. I see a cut line, so I'd say M.F. Christensen.
  5. I agree with Steph. Probably Asian.
  6. They are not Christensen IMHO.
  7. Yep. Peltier Rainbo. It *almost* looks like a six-ribbon instead of four.
  8. Interesting. Some kind of fired clay?
  9. Cars? My best friends Grandfather owned a toy factory in Lincoln Nebraska. They made what are now called slush toys. Basically cheap molded toys. Think early Tootsie Toys. She has a pretty extensive collection of some of the stuff he made. She asked me to help put up a webpage of some of her toys. It's still up. Lincoln White Metal Works
  10. Years ago I had a marble website up and managed to get a couple shots of lemonade oxblood marbles sitting on a lemonade oxblood tea set plate. Natural light: Black light:

    St. Marys Alleys

Ok. Probably not that much better. I was hoping to get better shots of the marbles, but the aging and filming of the poly bags makes it hard and I'm not opening the bags. At least I've got both front and back. So, maybe St. Marys?

This is an older shot of a Marble King bags with swirls. My photo techniques have gotten better and I'll try to get a shot of both sides later today
  13. Prices seem to be all over the place. Recently I've seen them going for $40-$50 each. $17 seem too good to pass up.
  14. Some nice Rainbos. I've gotten hooked on Rainbos since I restarted collecting in November. So many color combinations and for the most price still reasonably priced, though... I was bidding on about 7 or 8 Rainbos last night from a single dealer and Oh My... Bidding quickly got out of my price range. Managed to pick up two of all of the ones I bid on. The rest went for $10-$12. They were nice, but I'm not paying that much for 5/8 Rainbos. Well, I did just pay $18 for a Clown, but thought that was a pretty good price.
  15. One of the things I used to actively collect was Early American Pressed Glass. Most from the late 1800's to early 1900's. There so much produced at the time, that most of it was reasonably priced and I loved the patterns. This one has always been one of my favorites. The bowl was produced somewhere between 1880 and 1890 and will light up a room under black light.
  16. I'd guess multicolor swirl. Transparent green base. White and orange swirls. It *would* be nice if Shellkat could get focused photos. What kind of camera are you using? Maybe someone can help you get better shots.
  17. Multicolor swirls are one of my favorite Peltiers
  18. Steph... I can see her gallery, so it's not private. Shellkat... Your husband's Grandfather was about the age of my Grandfather. Born July 17, 1880 in Stuttgart, Germany. Unfortunately I didn't get any marbles from him. Welcome!!
  19. One of the things I've learned with poly bags is to look to the seams on the back. There had better be a seam, as the bags were made from flat stock. Modern bags are made from tube stock
  20. Years and years ago I gave my Mom something much like this. Just a Dandelion puff in a glass paperweight. Don't know how it was done and since both folks are gone now, I have to idea where it went. One of my brothers or their families hopefully have it..
  21. Yes. Manganese or Magnesium.
  22. My innard isn't as cool as all the above, but you get a story. 10+ years ago I purchased this box. Why I bought it, what the seller was trying to accomplish, I don't know. Colors don't match. Bases don't match. But I was young and had lots of money. When I took it out of storage last November I discovered one of the marbles was broken. Half of the marble had broken into small pieces. What was interesting was the the remaining marble looked like it had been cut in half. No jagged edges. Perfectly flat and clean surface. Don't know what caused it, but *I* think it's pretty cool.
  23. Dude.... Take a deep breath. Everybody isn't trying to cheat you.
  24. Obviously doesn't like antiques. Probably collects Vacor.
