  1. Are they all the same twistšŸ¤”
  2. Oddball 9/16ā€ orange/grey cork. Probably dug? I don’t see this as a desirable commercial mib, back in the day.
  3. Managed to find a 19/32ā€ purple ā€œchevronā€ with reversed poles. Someone told me Peltier years ago, forgot who it was.
  4. Hood canal weather, been raining all day. Good for air qualityšŸ‘
  5. Do you have a pic? I had a large slag ā€œchevronā€ that exhibited that exact condition, it now is in Dani and Ernie’s collection. Swapped it for a Winchester knifeā€¦šŸ¤” not sure if I have a pic of it or not, been a few years.
  6. Do you have anything on the ā€œdoubleā€ feed system the might produce both left and right twist mibs?
  7. Thanks for the thought! Probably 95% of my collections was found in the wild. I enjoy the antique shops and thrift stores, and occasional estate sale. Our local sales typically post a sign in log at 6AM in the front door, in order to get inside at 9AM. Have to stay in line, and no signing for friends to cut in line. I’m just not that driven…
  8. Would love to find some old footage of the process they used. I’m sure there are a bunch of old 8mm spools laying around in someone’s attic?
  9. They came in several colors. http://blenkocollectors.com/specialtylinepages/blenkocollcolorwilliamsburg.htm
  10. It also seems to be independent of size. Here is a pic of some 1ā€, both left and right.
  11. Ron, do you have a video of the shear plate in operation?
  12. I need to ponder that onešŸ¤”šŸ¤”šŸ¤”
  13. Yes, Blenko made for Williamsburg Glass. They had the contract until 1966, I think. http://www.blenkoproject.org/1966 end of the catalog. My examples…

  15. The pattern is the same on both poles regardless of left or right twist. I was looking at the spinner cup diagram in Steph’s Study Hall, but doesn’t show what actually spins the cup. Being an HVAC engineer, mechanical things only spin in one direction, unless you have a transmission like a car. Not sure why you would want to reverse the spin anyway? maybe it is machine specific, some got set up as lefties and some as righties?
  16. Exactly what I was thinking, which is why I asked the question. Now that I’m looking at my collection, I’m finding more lefties…
  17. Awesome info, thanks!! Had it in my head that left twists were rare, but it might have been regarding German handmades, and early MFC.
  18. I was reading MarbleAlans page, and it stated Masters peaked at around 25/32ā€. Not a concrete limit…
  19. I tried the search bar here to get info, got 6,300+ hits🄓. I just found another that twists left. Is there a link where I can read up on this? thanks. Brad
  20. Is Vacor trying to destroy the American marble market? After looking at all the variations, I am just a little depressed. https://www.billes-en-tete.com/liste_billes.php?lang=en
